I personaly would like to be a Forum mod, even though I have not been here for very long. I understand the rules of the forum, and can tell if someone only posts to spam, or to flame. I am normaly on from 18:30 PM - 23:30 PM by NG time, (my time would be 16:00-9:00PM), and unless I have a problem I will be on nearly every day. My second choice would be Review mod, as I get very annoyed when I see only reviews which are posted to express anger, and that have no positive input to the author.

Teehee, this is so silly, i bet nor admins nor mods read this after fifty pages.
Still, you have to take any chance you may get. I'm too young, so i have no hopes at becoming one.

I dont frequent any forum beyond General... Audio confuses me, Politics scares me and Wi/Ht is just too slow for me... But I love General...

Been lurking for a few years, signed up not so long ago. My post history probably wont reflect wel on me, but its just how I post... Either way, I reckon I know my way around the rules pretty well, and could judge what is right and what is wrong from a modding point of view. I have been a little less active lately due to science exams, but now they are over normal service should be resumed =]

As I said, chances are you wont read this, or if you do, wont like me enough,, but it's worth the crack for the chance to mod.

Hi Wade! Well since you insisted, I would like to become an audio mod. For one thing, I like to listen to music a lot, and I'm kind of a music junkie. Also, I go to the audio portal most of the time to listen to the weekly top 5's and review on each one of them. There are a lot of audio tracks that are added to my favorites and I have a lot more audio reviews then my flash reviews. I would like to someday compose my own music and submit them here.

I usually log on to Newgrounds from around 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and I spend about 2 hours online.

My 2nd choice would probably be an icon mod. I don't know how I would do in that field but it seems like an easy job, that if, my 1st choice isn't choosen.

Lol, I normally ouldn't say this, but I think I could do a fairly good job at forum modding the Audio forum.
And it needs like... more moderators there.
Since always the same threads are made, so just to keep it clean.

I have no plan of ever becoming a mod. I have a lot of things going on with me in the real world, you know. I would, however like to become a flash artist, although first I need $700 to buy it.

I know what goes and what doesn't, partly due to firsthand experience, but still, I have some experience as a moderator, and I'm pretty much on here 24/7. On occasions, though, I may have a computer problem, which will only let me be on here during every 2nd weekend. I know that I may not be one of the most mature of the users, but still, I'm pretty intelligent, and feel that I am qualified. If you don't want me to mod is fine, at least I can say that I tried.

i'd like to be a forum/review mod. i know pretty well the rules for writing rviews/posts, and i spend a good amount of time in the forums or flagging abusive reviews. plus, i'd have no mercy while locking or banning someone.

Hello, my name is cast. You might remember me from flash films such as I <3 clocks! and cast and synj asspirates. Sure, there are tons more.

I have been dedicated to the Newgrounds website for a very long time, as I have been a long lasting supporter and member of it's great community. I have watched the history of this site unravel before me, and I am a living part of it watching as the blank pages of this story are wrote. When I first came to this site Tom's personality and content kept drawing me back, it was always entertaining to watch him fight for the foundations which this site are founded on, the freedom to display his content and freedom of speech. No one could stop him, no matter how hard they rammed his tight pink asshole. Tom is the spirit of Newgrounds, and his vision stands true to this day and is evolving as time progresses.

I would make a great mod of any position, least favorable would be Audio due to the fact my life revolves around music. I would rather use my time here as an escape from my daily routine.
I spend the majority of my free time browsing the site and I find myself here at different times of the day, everyday for probably four to five hours in all spread out over the course of the entire day. While other days I may just spend the entire day lurking the web, mostly Newgrounds. I have always looked at Newgrounds as my home on the web.

If I ever earned such a position, I would do my best to keep myself level. I would rather look at myself as a user first, a model user with a good sense of humor, and a friendly and helpful demeanor who knows where the line rests. A user who holds no grudges, and never abuses his power for personal reasons, or just to "play around" with another. I would remain active in the community, not just another mod who simply comes here only for the sole purpose of performing his duty.

In conclusion, I believe I spend enough time here, know the site well enough and have shown my interest and dedication to Newgrounds for long enough now to admit that I would be more than happy and willing to help moderate the site and take my contribution to this site to the next level. Only then will I be able to show you how much I love Newgrounds, and only then will you know how trustworthy and able I am to perform any position I am appointed fairly and frequently.

NG needs nighttime forum mods, and I could fill that gap. I'd probably reject that position.

How do I know being a mod or otherwise being in a position of authority sucks? Simple, I've been there. (Not here, duh.) It's not easy.

Well yeah I have quite a lot of time for Newgrounds, and I do think myself mature enough to handle said responsibility. This wouldn't be the only forum I Administer/Moderate anywho. But I'd say I'd be a very good Forum mod if anything, I have very good judgement skills, definitely am a very calm, relaxed person, and will uphold the rules and stick to them. Let's say I don't believe in letting power get to my head because really what is the point of letting that happen to you over the internet? Regardless if you'd like to know more on what I think I'd be glad to definitely talk with you over PM, or any instant messenger you familiarize yourself with. But this is only if you really need a Moderator, or someone else to help out around here.

I really can't see why I wouldn't be a decent moderator for this community, I mean I'm level headed, logical, reasonable, and I don't let power go to my head (though I have in the past and let's just say some good friends I used to have no longer speak to me.) But yes I feel I'd be decent for the job offer, I have some very good people skills that I think you'd like to have on the Moderation team.

But yes if you're looking for someone with good people experience, Administrative/Moderation experience, then I think I'd be a pretty fit guy for the job of Forum Moderator. I've been lurking Newgrounds since the '03 but really have had about 10 other accounts that I recently gave away to people who wanted them because I don't use them anymore. But if you're interested in getting to know more about me, once again as mentioned above you may contact me by any means, and I'd be glad to conversate or answer any questions you have about me, or about what I would do in certain situations.

But do not worry about promising me a job, I'm only in it if you see me as a fit Moderator, or if you really need the help. I perhaps have more credentials, and skills that would be impeccable for a Moderator position, even enough references for people that Moderate/Own/Administrate popular communities such as MyBB.

Well being an Australian I'm on from around 8pm - 12pm American West coast standard time.

I think i'd make a pretty fair moderator, it is quiet around the time that i'm on and most of the other forum users on at the time i'm here are fairly mature and so am i. I'd like to think that i could settle a dispute between forums users, and ban people if it was called for. I wouldn't be a forum nazi who banned threads that were against my own personal views, i'd make sure i stay neutral in all my decisions and input.
I wouldn't do it to be popular, because as i've heard being a moderator means taking alot of crap in the PM's but i think i could handle it.

Also, is the pay any good?

Why?
Because I read the FAQ. I know wich reviews are abusive and wich ones aren't. I keep checking everyday those frontpaged spam movies who everybody hates, turd of the week, submissions by spam crews, and sometimes, even those movies/games with a very low score (sometimes, they have those "blam this!" reviews). Those reviews must be deleted. They don't belong to NG.
Active time: I'm not sure yet, but when the holidays are over, it'll be something like 3:30~5:30 PM (GMT-3). And maybe something more than that.
During the vacations, I stay on NG for much longer.

I'd like to be a Forum mod, on this account and my old one I stay in the NG forums a lot and could see what posts would need to be deleted, who to be banned etc. I ahave some experience with that kind of thing as I was an Admin on a website a year back.

I'm pretty well, at watching over the BBS.

If I could be a mod, I would choose to be... Any kind of mod to be honest. Maybe even multiple ones if it was possible.

I have way too much time, and spend a lot of it on NG. Im sometimes on in the morning (before my whole family has woken up) at 6am (It used to be 5am =o lol) on the BBS or just browsing around NG, or just pottering around at home (mostly on the PC though xD).

I like the audio portal, and I have found a few things that were just' remixes' of the Numa-Numa song and stuff etc etc... I would love to be able to stop those people for a while...

I haven't heard of 'Icon Mods' until now. I suppose that would be a pretty cool little job. I have yet to see a stupid (or unacceptable) icon so I think they are doing a good job =P .

The BBS mods seem to have a huge job on their hands recently. I have seen one or two "Me is new here" kind of topics that I wish I could just lock up... They normally sink to the bottom though. There are a lot of topics that could be locked, and I feel quite offended by some of the language in some posts. I do browse the forums a lot, but recently got a week ban (its up now) for a 'Pointless Bump' on a really old topic I found. I've learn't my lesson now though...

A little idea/suggestion:
I think you should make flash mods. People with a high voting power, and the ability to blam things even after passing judgement. I did find a flash that was an example from the 3DFA program. They didn't remove the credits or anything, just submitted it with only a few clicks effort. I PM'd you about it because the whistle option went (I was to slow to submit it...) but luckily it got blammed a few seconds later. Another one I found after a quick search was Xander Pacman. It's just another copy of the 3DFA man game, but with changed titles and instructions (3DFA.com under their samples you can find it). The script and game seems exactly the same though... (I also PM'd you about it).

I've been at home all day today (nothing to do... but we did go out for a while). I've probably been on my PC for a couple of hours today. I'm generally on it all day, and my family get pretty annoyed that they don't get much of a turn...

Well, I would like to be a Forum Mod. I do find that when people post stupid topics, such as GO HERE AND GET FREE PORN, or something related to this reference, it ticks me off. I am constantly online (10am - 10pm, Eastern U.S.), but do take frequent 1-2 hour breaks. I don't like to talk about being a Mod and this is the only time I would talk about it. I am quiet and don't post much, but I do post when I feel I need to say something.

I would rule with an iron fist...I would not be one of the KIND and LOVING gods...I would be one of the OLD gods, and would demand sacrifice. The pleading and idiocy of the pathetic people of the forum would displease me, and I would smite them all at my whims and fancies. They would cry out for mercy, but I would not give it!!!

I would want to be a forum mod. I would dedicate myself to clearing the general forum of spam/troll/idiotic/flaming/remade topics. I would ban people fairly. I would't ban someone for a month for being an idiot(unless they were being jackasses too). I would not make stupid topics because i'm a mod and can get away with it. In short, I would be a mature mod. But I would respond to posts if I feel they are funny enough.

For the love of GOD let this die... the whole damn thing was just a joke and a way for Wade and a few of the mods to get a quick chuckle.

I suppose, that I would vouch for Audio, and Icon mod. I wish there was a Flash mod. So many of the spammer's around, that they need to be taught a lesson somehow.

Audio, I wouldn't judge unfairly. It's music. Since when is it bad? And it's rare that a horrible song ever comes out, that's entirely made for making people mad. *Full of scratches and random screaming noises, and so on, nazi title, etc.*

Icons, enough there as well. If it's bad, then toss it out. If it's fine and meets guide lines or expectations, then they should be approved.

Well, I've thought about modertatorship in the past, but never really considered it a likelihood. But since it's worth a post +1, and I'm bored anyways. Why not?

If I were to request a moderator position, I feel the only one I would be effective at in the least is a forum mod. I've been around for quite a long time, and I've seen/experienced most of the fads for better or worse. I'm one of the more mature users, and I have an understanding of the rules. I also regularly try to help people on the forums rather then just flame them. I'm free any night after 7:00 PM in my respective time zone. I've been absent these last couple months due to health complications, but I'm back again for awhile at least.
If it helps, as far as I know I'm in good standing with any mods that know and remember me.

I doubt i'll be selected, and fully expect my post to go forever un-noticed, but it's worth a shot I guess.

I'd probably be good for any kind of Mod. I am very active on this website. Maybe not a forum mod since I've had my fair share of bans. But an audio mod, review mod, or an icon mod is what I would be. I don't have much else to say other than that I would be very active and take part of the solution. I wouldn't however want to be multiple mods. I'm leaning more towards either audio mod or an icon mod.
I do feel silly for posting in this thread even after all of these years...
