Hmmm! That's a bummer. I thought for sure that since everything on NG had finally updated properly, all would be well at your end with your stat puller. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait. *sad face* Thanks for at least giving it a try. Most appreciated.

I'm still waiting on byteslinger to get back to me on the installation file. Hopefully then I can resume all stats work. The next B/P update could be missed out at this rate. Even if I do get whatever fucked up the program fixed for me, I'll be having a busy weekend so I'll only manage the B/P update. Also in this case, I'll be postponing the next EXP update to 19th August which still puts me on the 4-week schedule.

I got an intriguing response from byteslinger and supposedly what the staff may have changed is what she actually wanted them to do in terms of managing the program on her end. The issue is being looked into right now so we should be back on our feet within a few days.

On an additional note, usually lack of patience is something I wouldn't tolerate but Painbringer's question from before does make me aware that some users here are very enthusiastic with these updates.

I'm not impatient. I just hate waiting!! But seriously folks, if The Olympics weren't on right now I would be suffering from major list withdrawal. Now if either The Aussies or The Brits could get some more medals all will be good.

Same difference, nes pas?

Yes, I'm well aware that the Aussies cost your goal of medals in the Men's road race, according to Mark Cavendish. Hell, he knows more about the sport than I.

At least we can look at an older list and work from there, correct?

I just caught up on the last few updates, haven't been very active on NG for a while. I've been good with deposits this year, but for some reason I missed four in February. Oh well. Onwards and upwards is the only way I can go, still plenty of inactive people above me. Thanks for doing these :)

See this news post for information on a program that does all kinds of neat things with medal statistics.

EXP update #54 is FINALLY available!

Hello all and welcome to the 54th EXP update. The little hiatus is over and done with and I really have to establish that byteslinger really is a saviour for the stat puller. Not only did she update the program to work with the redesign, she also took care of the issue with the program I had just a few days before the original scheduled date for this update. Now that the woes are gone, it's good to be back in business.

NEXT UPDATE: 15th September 2012

Three ranks up in these almost two months of no-updates. Nice! Looking ahead of me I see a bunch of inactive users I've never heard of before. Gaining another bunch of ranks before the year ends shouldn't prove too difficult.

Thank you very much for the update Bahamut! Good to see you're back in business. Also, thank you very much byteslinger for taking your time to fix Bahamut's program.

Thank you very much for the update Bahamut.

The advantage of having not much experience is that I do gain a lot of ranks each time. 125 ranks between two update is something most of the people that post here can only dream of! With a rank gain like this I'll be #1 in only 1,8 years!

Okay, that kind of hurt my mathematical side.

Apart from the two deposits I missed while I was on holiday I can't remember what days I missed my deposits on. Ah well.

I gotta say, I do like how you're very observant with the EXP updates. Being out of routine can cause mistakes but I did need to correct a few things as a lot of users further down had their links screwed up so they should all be corrected now. I will need to remember that name change updates are required for the other spreadsheets.

Thanks for the patchwork issue, Bahamut and thanks to byteslinger for getting the programming gremlins back into line.

Looks like I've managed to Coop DekarKaine, so I'm now up to 93rd. FIGMENTUM and Stormwarden are starting to loom on the horizon, so 91st is a vague notion for the moment. I'll get there, sooner or later, I just need to close in on the marks, who are probably a little too far ahead at the moment. (30,610 should be where I land for the next update, breathing down Stormwarden's neck)

Wait, how could anyone get 590 experience on this update? Nobody has 580, but two people have 590.

I've heard Coop's story but the other one has some explaining to do. I'm beginning to wonder if there's some sort of exploitation going on for depositing. There's really no other possibility as to how one gets more than you should have for 28/56 days.

What was Coop's story? I always assumed the deposit system wasn't exploitable. Besides, it's just 20 points above the max, it's not like someone earn 1000 points in one month or something. There must be a logical explanation for it, me thinks?

My apologies for the double post, but I just noticed the other user has a deposit rate of 101,49%. At the time of the update, he was a NG member for 940 days. This means his max points should be 9400 and some points you get after registering (50, right?). His experience at the time of the update was 9540 points. This means he has 140 (or 90?) points more than he could possibly have. This is obviously not an insane amount, but it's still very questionable. Any thoughts?

I climed 7 ranks, which is pretty awesome. There are some inactive and some semi-active users in front of me. Most notable name should be humantarget52, who currently is #151 on the Exp-List. Only 63 days until I pass him.

I missed a deposit when the redesign was launched. I had work in the morning and stayed up until 2am, so as not to miss a deposit, chatting to Tom on AIM, as the redesign came online, then the servers fell over, as is apparently customary.

I went to bed, as there was no sign of things coming back on and Tom's ETA was "hours". I slept, woke up next morning and found that I had missed a deposit, when the servers came back and stayed back. I politely sent Tom a PM, asking if I could have my missed deposit back (hey, a guy's got to try, right?)

Three months later, I suddenly notice that my experience has gone above the total that my spreadsheet predicts each morning. 30 points gained above and beyond the deposits. I'm not going to complain about that, am I?

This is what I've been scratching my head over as well. While the odd excess happens, this one has been occurring a few times now and it's hard to pinpoint where this is happening.

More reasons to bring you over to that Liverpool shop. Not that I play Munchkin, though but there are people there that do.

If there are questions then this user should be looked into. If there is a way to cheat the system, it should be found out and fixed.

I'm the only player I know of, who has killed the entire party with one turn. Took them all with me, by passing some of their monsters onto other folks, when the level 1 pot plant turned into a level 20 Plutonium Dragon, which was a baby, with a mother and it's mate, it happened to have a doppleganger with it and there might have been one more. Two transferral potions and the kneepads of allure really helped me to get everyone involved.
