Not likely. Just because the thread title from 2005 states it's top 2,000 doesn't mean it's like that now. I count all users who are at least 8k EXP, although there's a wonder if it should eventually be raised to 9k EXP due to heavy load on the size of the updates.

I used to like stopping alts at a certain level because of the level icons but with the redesign changing it all around entirely and the chances of them changing it again whenever it comes to another layout change, I wonder if it's even worse stopping them for level icons now. My new plan is to simply stop them at big milestones.

EXP Update #58 is now available!

Hello all and welcome to the 58th EXP update. This is the last EXP update for 2012 (or maybe forever if 21st December takes us all but I know jack shit will happen). The EXP updates end on a high note for 2012 for me as only today I reached level 53 and not had to wait another four weeks just to see my level update so the odds were in my favour this time.

On a more general note, Wylo deserves a mention for being the first mod to reach the final level. According to Wade regarding the 2007 redesign, there was a special level icon for mods who reached level 60 but whatever that was we'll never find out now that level 60 is more generic than the special global icon (which sadly wasn't liked that much).

I hadn't actually noticed that there weren't any level 60 mods yet, I would have figured there would have been at least one. Big congrats to him, anyway.

Looks like I'm on the cusp of 90th place, as I'm within 7 deposits of iWalker and 18 of dopefish. Since I closed the gap to both of these by more than that this time around, I should be able to Coop both of them within the next 4 weeks.

Conversely, it looks as if Inertius has started hitting deposits with regularity again, so he remains 20 points ahead of me. Lovely.

EXP update #59 is now available!

Hello all and welcome to the 59th EXP update as well as the new year with 2013. While I recently announced that I would be retiring the 2x10k hexalist update shortly, I can assure you that the EXP updates are not going anywhere soon. I feel these will continue as long as I'm still around on NG but for the hexalist, it is time to pass on the torch. For now, hopefully I make some good progress with the EXP leaderboard and will finally reach the top 100. On another note, we now have 20 level 60 users. This year shall expect to get around 30 more reaching the final level so it won't be long until the whole of the top 50 will consist of level 60 users.

NEXT UPDATE: 3rd February 2013

Just did a little workout for when I can expect to reach the top 100 and it looks to be sometime in August. Although the ones that still deposit make estimations harder for when I'll pass them, I have a few very close targets who will likely miss enough points for me to pass them by August. Not to make any of them feel victimised but I gotta pass whoever I can to finally reach the big goal.

Yeah, I'm not so fond of the new level 60 icon because of how much it blocks the aura. I much prefer the old level 60 as that looked like a dominant imagery which is what you should expect from a final level thing. In any case, there's only 27 months left of levelling up for me and after that, it's only a matter of passing whoever possible. That may be a little over two years but that time won't last long.

Yes, Dopefish has been Cooped. The bright upside of this is that I am focusing on passing all of 3 users this month - FIGMENTUM (1 deposit); iWalker (3 deposits) and (9 deposits). With the way that I appear to be closing in on quite a few users, I could have a bumper start to 2013 in terms of rank progression. I could be staring at the top 80 by my birthday, which would be a massive achievement, to pass 1 in 9 users who are currently ahead of me, by then.

I picked up a nice chunk of ranks this update, yet I still find myself so much lower in the exp. ranks than I really should be. Nobody to blame but myself; just gotta be good about depositing everyday.

Hopefully you can look at the top 150 well before I reach the top 100. The gap between me and the top 100 is a little over 700 EXP so that's an even bigger gap to close.

To me, it's once in a blue moon. I suppose asking now wouldn't hurt seeing as the last VP update was 5 months back.

Just for the record, the writer aura IS included for the next update. It will be nice to see the aura finally in use since its introduction the other day. I only wonder how many will actually appear with the turquoise aura.

EXP update #60 is now available!

Hello all and welcome to the 60th EXP update. Sixty updates is a great milestone for the EXP updates as there's now as many EXP updates as there are levels on Newgrounds. For a 60th update, the staff timed their introduction of writing auras really well. Now the aura set is complete, although since it was only added on Thursday, only a few of us actually show the turquoise aura right now including an alt of mine... Hey, I did reviews which is a form of WRITING. :P

Yes, I have Cooped MPA, FIGMENTUM and iWalker, moving up to #87 in the process. While I will spend the month hopefully catching and Cooping MrTrivia (9 deposits) and closing the gap on cristoff (30), Myst (41) and DaFreak (50), I would think that my ascension to 85th will have to wait until the April update, just in time for my 30th Birthday!

That is of course unless some people like Inertius want to miss three deposits in quick succession...
