Why wouldn't he like it? Put yourself in his position for a moment:
A) He's still #1 in exp.
B) He's still got the same gap over everyone else.
C) He'll be less hated since with each day's deposit he's not bumping everyone else's exp requirements up and their VP down (relatively).
D) Here's the best part: He gets to try out 11... ELEVEN new levels. He thought he was doomed to stay with one borin' ol' level, as nice as a golden sword may be, for freakin' ever. Now he gets to be levels 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, AND 60.
I dunno about you, but I think he should be the HAPPIEST of anyone on the site about the new system.
Okay, except for some of those level 9 folks who couldn't seem to EVER get to level 10, maybe. #;-}>

Well, it's not really that difficult - you've got reference tools in the original list, which should mean that the top 1,000 all have the correct name to add the ".newgrounds.com" suffix to get their userpage
Manual is a decent substitution while we wait for something more permanent from someone like BBB, isn't it?
That is the best part of trying to make a top 500 or top 1000 exp list right now, yes. The last update of the top 2000 list from 7/16/07 has all the correct usernames, yes.
I don't have that luxury with trying to restart my pentalist, unfortunately.
However, I did save a copy of the top 2000 after the username lockdown, so I can always use those .html files to help me in my search for users that need to be included on my pentalist. For one thing, I shouldn't be missing any 10,000+ expers, at least.
Posters and blammers and saviours will be another matter. EGRL could help me a bit with the latter two, but it doesn't feature separate listings of blamcount and savecount, alas. Top blammer and saviour lists haven't been updated in a long time. Etc.
No, all in all, the exp situation is the easiest one to solve.
Although I wonder why the admins took out the exp / XTNL display under our postcount and signup date on all BBS pages. I liked being able to see how close people are to leveling up, and where the level gaps are (even though they're static now). Suckage.
And don't say "that's what profiles are for," anyone. The fact of the matter is, that stat was displayed along with postcount for years. You get used to something like that. I wouldn't complain that b/p isn't displayed next to our posts because... (gasp)... it never was. If they put up VP or something instead (something that would encapulsate all of the above....) that would be the best solution, actually!.
