i actually read it in a big book about ww1.i have one about ww2 as well.there really usefull.they talk about the cause,what weapons they used and equipment they had also every battle as well.

Doesn't your big book of WW2 tell you mine did. And about the Bible story. In world war 1 British soldiers did in fact carry bibles across there hearts but it was a choice not an order.

The Bibles did actualy deflect handgun rounds and occasionaly slowed a rifle round. There were reports of a machine gun round striking the matal rim on the corner but other then that chances are it would still kill you if you were hit.

Also in World war 1 the Germans had Gas masks for there horses. And according to the horrible history books an entire German division were slaughtered by a herd of Polish Bison on the eastern front.(might want to confirm that last one).

Today we have another promotion to give out to. Make that two promotions. Here are the three soldiers with their new ranks:

rayzerblayze is now to the rank of First Sergeant.
wastedwizard is now to the rank of Master Sergeant.

Also there is a new section that is going to begin. The Medals and Badges section, which will be found in the forums under the ranks area. Today we are going to give out two awards to two great soldiers. The two soldiers are Peregrinus and fullman.

Capt. Peregrinus has earned the Officer Leadership Award.
Sgt. fullman has earned the 1000th Post Award.

You new ribbons and ranks will found in the forums.

I have never heard of that and find that very odd, I know that at the start their was no tanks but guns were invented many years before WW1.
