It's not so much that (although your post quality does leave something to be desired), but it's more that you're generally missing the helpful quality that a Wi/Ht regular needs. All the guys on this list have dedicated time to helping out others in these forums (and in other forums too).

My advice to you would be to really make a big effort to helping people, and not just because it benefits you, but because you can. When I started out in these forums, the Regulars list was pretty much dead. I didn't start helping people in this forum to get onto these lists - I did it because as a more experienced member, and I knew the answers to the questions people were asking. Forget your ego, just be helpful.

I'm not sold. As soon as he asked how to get on the list, his posting here all of a sudden dramatically increases. I still get the impression that it's all to be in the regs group, and that's the primary motivation. In this case, I prefer not to give people what they want if they go about getting it for reasons other than what they should be doing. From what I've seen, it screams that he's posting here to be on the list more than his desire to help others.

Well, in my opinion my post quality is much better than what it used to be about a year. Writing short
crappy posts, spelling everything wrong. I take time to write my post's now and not rushing just to get a higher post count. gfoxcook has helped me to inprove my post quality and and in meny other way's.
So thats all i had to say here.

That's pretty much what I started out saying, but ended up going off on a bit of a tangent about it. We'll see what happens when the list is updated in, what? 11 days? Yeah, 11 days.

Buy hey, the great thing about this list is that - aside from the period of time where it temporarily died - it updates every month, so you always have a second chance if you don't quite make it the month before.

On another note, I'm having a hard time getting motivated on NG lately. Maybe it's just because I've been so busy over the past month or two, with university applications and all the horror of admin work that it entails. I'm sure some of the longer-standing members here, such as gfox, have some experience of what I'm talking about.

Any advice for getting my motivation back? Or is it just a case of "wait it out until you're inexorably drawn back to teh NGs"?

Hmm, perhaps it may not be such a bad thing for you to be finding it harder to get time for Newgrounds. In my case, since I've returned from University, I've found that the amount of blam and protect points that I'm able to acquire has gone down somewhat seeing as I'm not able to have Portal Guard running in the background while doing my work. However, I would personally say that it need not be the end of the world. After all, I very, very rarely post more than about half a dozen posts a day, if that, and I've still managed to get into the Regulars list. Likewise, if you simply focus your time on Newgrounds accordingly, your presence will still be felt by the other users.

And on a final note, I did a police ridealong today for my internship and everything was going ok. Then the officer I'm with gets a call saying that there's a crazy gun wielding guy with a hostage in the next town over and they need assistance. So going back to the police station where he's going to drop me off, we're going like 70-80 mph in a 35 zone, and the sirens blaring; that shit gets your heart rate pumped up. But now I'm back at the computer station that nobody goes to and wondering how that thing will turn out.

Wasn't too bad on the corners, but on the straight aways, some people were being really slow about getting over to the side, and when you're coming up on a car at that speed and they still haven't gotten over yet, it kinda made me worry for a few seconds.

That was two days ago too. Yesterday, we investigated a car crash where one of the cars had a large crack on the windshield of the car where the guys head had hit when he crashed. The crack was on the passengers side so naturally I assumed the guy had a passenger in the car, but then I find out that the impact was from the driver who had flew sideways into the windshield because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Somehow the guy only had to get stitches, but seeing it up close really makes you realize how important seat belts are. Good thing I already wear them religiously.

To show you, I took a crappy picture of the picture on my camera phone because I don't have a thing to transfer phone pictures to my computer.

The guy didn't walk away. He was taken to the hospital unconscious with a huge ass gash in his head that needed stitches and he's lucky to just have that. A lot of people were saying that at the speed that the collision happened, the guy could have easily died.

This is due to myself having less free time this month because of my holiday and YouTube traps (I'll definitely definitely avoid them next time after just getting back on holiday). So I apologise for that, but I WILL make a potential list for next month.

The guy didn't walk away. He was taken to the hospital unconscious with a huge ass gash in his head that needed stitches and he's lucky to just have that. A lot of people were saying that at the speed that the collision happened, the guy could have easily died.

Ah, OK. It sounded like it wasn't that bad as you said "he only had to have a few stitches". Still, I know a user (Joshiwa) who was in a pretty bad crash lately, and he walked away from it. I don't think he smashed his head against the windshield though, so not quite the same I suppose.
