I'm from Québec and like others have said, Safarir is a VERY good choice, it's the most well-known and read magazine in Québec when it comes to young people as far as I know. Otherwise, the "coolest" magazines are usually magazines for women such as elle and châtelaine.
BTW, I don't know if anyone mentioned this before but, there's a law in Québec which forbids stores to sell videogames WITHOUT french instruction booklets. In other words, unless Alien hominid comes with french instructions, they're gonna be sent back...
Back on topic, if you're trying to advertise Alien hominid in Québec, there's 2 french videogaming shows which you could consider :

I recommend 360. An extreme sports/music magazine.
Future Shop and Best Buy = Own, which means their sites too. For mags up here it is mostly American stuff.
On an unrealted note I just realized alot of NG users are Canadian and quite a few of them are "respecred users", some even mods. Coincidence... the facts say yes, but I say no. Perhaps Canadians are some sort of race, bread to be total internet badasses, cyber punks sort'o speak. Just observing.

There is this one program here called 'Zed TV' on CBC television, for all intensive purposes it's like NG. People make thier own independant films (and animations) and submit it to the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) and some get put on this late night program.
You'll see strange, bizzare, gross, funny, live action, animated, and musical performances...everything that can be made will be shown (Yes, including nudity a swearing, the CBC is government owned so they can show whatever they please)
I recommend any flash artist (Canadian ones included) should throw a couple of thier prime animations at the CBC and see what they think, worth a shot right?

I'm Canadian, (yes it sucks here) and I read crap like Maxim, Stuff, etc.. or at least used to. (only freaks read Gamepro and the like) Also, we visit pretty much the same sites as anyone else, so that wasn't really a detailed enough question.

You could also try advertising in Canadian mags, but you would be wasting your money. We dont need cool mags, we got the states to mooch off of ;)
