I don't know if it's canadian, but there's this site I go to a lot. It's a fansite for this game released in 1995. It didn't do that well, even though the gameplay was excellent. It seems that the graphics turned off most gamers. Here
If I'm not mistaken, Reader's Digest is Canada's most read magazine. I don't know about websites. Newgrounds is one of the few I go on.

WITH NICHOLAS PICHOLAS! IS THAT HIS REAL NAME?
I remeber that show from back in the day! It was pretty fun, a couple of my friends where contestants in the video game competion section of the show. I only ever saw on ytv and some of the people who worked as 'program jockies' or PJs where also on that show. It was barely broadcast quality and the people who hosted the show looked like stoners.
Dude... Snowboard Canada ...awesome articles in there...great magazine if you're a snowboarder...and ummm...can't think of any websites... OUR BEER IS STRONGER THAN YOURS MUFUCKAS!!!

This company owns all the popular radio in Canada. you know, with all the cool (read: crappy) music and witty (see previous parenthesis) DJ's. They also own Much music (MTV in canada) CityTV (popular toronto channel that's just another global/fox ripoff) and Bravo! Canada.
if you could get a deal with these folk you'd be well on your way to OWNING THE CONTENENT... or at least several hundred thousand canadian dollars. (roughly 3 cents US :P)
I'm Canadian.
Magazine most read by Canadians = Playboy
Site = Playboy.com
^_^
I've seriusoly no idea what the real site/mag would be but anything that has do with hockey would be a good guess.
I don't know, I was under the impression that canadian and american culture was for the most part shared.
i'm not sure if this was mentioned, but u could try
http://www.muchmusic.com/
or
mtvcanada.com
i know a few fellow canadians that check out both sites.
www.g4techtv.com, www.muchmusic.com thats basically all i know except for a few skate mags but i dont think you would need them.
I libe in quebec and the coolest magazine we have is safarir an humoristic magazine i know my english suck but eh...

I would say that sports illustrated is one of the most popular magazines, and MAD.
Is it just me or am I the only other person here that watches Degrassi?

Probably true >:(
Basically the only things I can think of would be muchmusic/musicplus' website.
And for candian magazines, no clue.
Problem is most things I've seen thus far for Canada is targeting either stupid children (mainly 11-17 year olds) and 35+ers.
The alternative press is somewhat limited as is the young adult (read: Mature Content) crowd. However due to the lack of alternative media in Canada you can possably get a good reaction from Musicplus\Much Music sites. Just try not to mention you work with Troma. Not all of what Llyd says about the corporate conspiracies is blown out of proportion *lol*.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, I don't watch T.V , and as was alluded to Magazines hold little interest (except for satire like "Mad") and as for websites I don't believe I visit any strictly Canadian sites, but it's hard to tell because a lot of Canadians don't care about politics , nationalities or what have you. At least not to the extent of putting it up on the web.
There's my 2 cents.

the old degrassi owns the new one is the sucks
I forgot one of the more obvious ones.
and cheers to the guy that said trailer park boys.
that show is pimp
Canada is an America that's called Canada, exept that we've got stupid French people instead of stupid Mexicans. All of the sites in the U.S. that are popular should be popular here.

What are some of the most popular / COOLEST magazines and websites in Canada? I am referring to ones that are mainly visited / read by Canadians, not ones with a global base. Include magazines and sites that serve a more underground audience, such as anime and video game fans.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I wouldn't know, being an an-average Canadian, but I can tell you, it's just like the US style-wise, except we like everything colder, more Liberal (grumble), and with free Health Care, and submarines that catch fire because our goverment doesn't put any money into the military anymore.
i resent the whole "we're just another america" feeling
although, when i visited Toronto a couple years ago, it felt a lot like the US. The same general antipathy towards everyone else, everyone overly busy.
Halifax, however, is not like any part of America I've ever been to. It's great. everyone is friendly, the rich and the poor aren't separate, and the crazyness of life really just is a laughable city-effect, not a rule to live by.
well, This website is owned, operated, and frequented by Canadians. And it's a toy-based photo webcomic.
I have a Canadian friend in Montreal. He's real cool. I love Canada's health insurance system.
Rock on Canada
