Edd was an inspiration to many, and an all round funny guy, may he rest in peace.
No-one deserves to die so young, especially when he had such a bright future ahead.
I used to know Edd's dad, and he was such a nice guy too, who doesn't deserve to lose his son at such an age, so I think we should all think of Edd's family too.

I think in honour of Edd Gould, we should have a Newgrounds day devoted to him, like Pico Day. Edd Day! Every October 28th (Edd's birthday) we should flood the Portal with our appreciation! :')

My god... When I read that he died, my heart litterally sank. It really sucks that he had to die because he was one of the reasons I joined newgrounds. And to learn, that there will be no more videos from him after Tom and Matt post the two-part animation, just really killed a part of me inside.

I had been waiting to get into animation school to learn the art, occasionally attempting to write a short, until I found out Ed died at 23, with so many fans and well-loved animation.
I am 22. With nothing but some talent at drawing, work that hasn't seen the light of day, and perfectionism nagging at me to keep it that way until it looks professional. I'm probably not going to get in to school again this year, although I'm applying anyway. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get in this year. Most of my friends have graduated college by now. I'm still working McJobs, struggling to get by, striving for something to make my existence feel useful, even if it's just entertaining somebody.
I've taken up my tablet and started teaching myself to animate. I have a Preston Blair book, Disney's The Illusion of Life, and the internet at my disposal to learn from. I'm going to keep writing. I'm going to make art.
I'm doing it in memory of Edd.

I feel terrible for his family and friends.
If Edd affected us, a bunch of strangers scattered around the world, so deeply. I can't imagine what those who were close to him are experiencing right now.
The world becomes a darker place when people like him are taken from it.
Rest in peace Edd. I know that you'll bring the same happiness you brought into this world, into whatever comes next.

This has been one month of tragedy. First, Randy Solem, the Newgrounds sprite veteran passes away, and now poor Edd. He was so young and full of promise too. It's depressing. There will be no more Eddsworld cartoons.

RIP Edd Gould. He was my favorite animator and his works always made me laugh.
