wow. as stupid as it may sound when i heard that Edd had cancer that in a few months i would find a video about how he got over it. it's frightening that someone can just pass away like that. Edd you were very much respected and loved and you still are. rest in peace man, you'll be missed.

Eddsworld must go on...even without its creator present, but forever in spirit.

Sorry to be off topic, but I never found out how Luccas died.

I had the chance to talk to Edd on Skype a couple of times...I really thought he would pull through.
What a down to earth, amazing individual. I enjoyed his animations, comics, random clips, videos....
He was too good for such an end. :c

Just sitting back enjoying NG in all its glory.

Only 23 years old, Edd had accomplished so much. He wasn't just one of NG's most popular contributors of all time, he was one of the most popular animators in the history of the Internet, with a huge following everywhere he went.

Edd's friends Tom and Matt have put together a video dedicated to Edd. Please take a moment to watch the video and then enjoy some of Edd's movies:

There are way too many great ones to list in one post. Check out Edd's movies page for nearly a decade of animation.

It's depressing to think about all the great movies Edd had yet to bring us but also totally inspiring that he accomplished so much in 23 short years. In less than a decade Edd achieved more than most people could dream of achieving in their entire lives. He also did it while being totally humble and kind the entire time. Edd was a truly amazing human being and we're gonna miss him greatly.

In the past week we've lost Randy Solem, Luccas Bode and now Edd. None of us knows how much time we have left so if you have a dream of your own, don't keep waiting for the right moment; the moment is now.

He made my favorite series of videos ever...and to now think that in a single day they're no longer going to be made. I was bored on other websites like Kongregate and decided to come here for something to do, but now I realized it was a decision for the worse. Or for the best, knowing one of the best animators on the internet-no, of all time-is in eternal rest and peace? I can't choose what to think now...so long Edd, and your briliant World, so long...R.I.P.

When I first saw the video they put out, I thought it was a joke but my heart just kept sinking as the video went along. Then it ended and Edd didn't pop up to say he was getting out of the hospital.
I never met him, never spoke to him and only knew him through his videos but this news hit me hard.

Rest easy Edd.

Thanks for clearing that up, now will you shut the fuck up? You've made the point you're a waste of compassion and can't take two seconds to let other people express their sympathies over someone they looked up to.
Good job.

E.Y.N.B. Edd. =s
My father passed of Colon cancer and I know how it can feel to see a good friend depart.
Stay strong. What truly is amazing is that by 23 this soul did so very much before passing.
Personally it seems as well Edd Gould will not be forgotten as a humble and kind person.

When we leave (and we all do) we do not know.
What we leave -- matters most.
Excellent job Edd! And E.Y.N.B.

My most humble and kind of regards to the Goulds family

I think as newgrounds members that we should take a vote and see if we can't really figure out something to do with such a talented mins....

like martin luther king jr day...

maybe we can have special day for edd on his birthday.

we can make tribute flashes and stories and reply about him in forums and his art work. then it might go viral once a year.

but this year there shuld be some collaberation and i see that some people are trying to do a collab so thats good.

but i thnk that there shold be a edd day once a year on his birthday or something. kinda like pico day.

i vote "yea"
