This is the third death that I have experienced that have made me cry, first Astrid Lindgren, second one my grandmother and now Edd. This is a sad week for us on Newgroungs, or really, anyone who enjoyed a good flash. Thanks Edd for the awesome movies that you made, and the laughs you provided, even though that you were sick you wanted to satisfy us fans. Thanks for the time you spent on us. I wish that I would have known you in real life. Rest In Peace Edd, you'll be remembered by this great community, I lift a can of Coke in your honour!
I will watch his videos again and again and again, they're part of my childhood and the reason I animate. If he got to keep the time and enjoyment he's given to others for his own, he'd outlive every one of us.
"Let his world keep spinning."
What a good looking mirror.
Saddest Notice Now I Will Miss The great Movies And games made from Edd Gould Fuck Cancer will U Kill Good People
DAMMIT I lost my two favorite NG animators this month, first Randy, the original spritemaster and now Edd. WTF IS WRONG WITH THis WORLD?!

i didn't even know he was battleing cancer but hearing the new he passed away sadden me i will never forget him he always brought joy will his flash movies
Even YouTube's Spotlight is mourning Edd. That's how awesome he was, that he not only touched one community of users, but so many more.
I saw the news when it broke and I couldn't sleep right (it was about midnight in Britain), yet I didn't know him or even met him. Edd, you managed to wriggle your way into my heart when I didn't notice and I thank you for that.
This is a Prime piece of real estate below.
This is the worst news i've heard in a long time. I had no clue that he had cancer and i hope the best for his family and friends. May he rest in peace. He was one of my favorite people on newgrounds and I will miss him dearly, along with all his talent.
He's still there on our backs and in our hearts, he will live on as a part of us, may EddsWorld continue to spin on . Rest In Peace Edd.
I'm sorry to hear this. I've been a major fan of the Eddsworld series. Though there's a two-part Eddisode coming up, the future remains uncertain. What I honestly hope is that his memory will be forever immortalized in his works. Please, guys. According to Tom, "He left us without any fear." All he cared about was his flashes. Twice, he denied a TV show because it would drive a wedge between you, him, and his flashes. Don't remember him for how he died. Remember him for what he did before then.
Wonder if Tord was informed of Edd's unfortunate demise. Despite life troubles he too was a close friend of the trio.
You know something, that makes me cry.
My late mother was just like that. She didn't even need the internet to sell her paintings at a high price. She never lived past 25 and still left a large inheritance for all 4 of her children. She was claimed by a cancer in between her heart and spine. Even being a new artist here, I can't stand to see people suffer over our health industries mistakes.
Dose anyone even know how many lives would have been saved if we could all just get the word out about special plants and herbal extracts!

Only 23 years old, Edd had accomplished so much. He wasn't just one of NG's most popular contributors of all time, he was one of the most popular animators in the history of the Internet, with a huge following everywhere he went.
Edd's friends Tom and Matt have put together a video dedicated to Edd. Please take a moment to watch the video and then enjoy some of Edd's movies:
There are way too many great ones to list in one post. Check out Edd's movies page for nearly a decade of animation.
It's depressing to think about all the great movies Edd had yet to bring us but also totally inspiring that he accomplished so much in 23 short years. In less than a decade Edd achieved more than most people could dream of achieving in their entire lives. He also did it while being totally humble and kind the entire time. Edd was a truly amazing human being and we're gonna miss him greatly.
In the past week we've lost Randy Solem, Luccas Bode and now Edd. None of us knows how much time we have left so if you have a dream of your own, don't keep waiting for the right moment; the moment is now.

The joke is I dislike your animations.
