This is the third death that I have experienced that have made me cry, first Astrid Lindgren, second one my grandmother and now Edd. This is a sad week for us on Newgroungs, or really, anyone who enjoyed a good flash. Thanks Edd for the awesome movies that you made, and the laughs you provided, even though that you were sick you wanted to satisfy us fans. Thanks for the time you spent on us. I wish that I would have known you in real life. Rest In Peace Edd, you'll be remembered by this great community, I lift a can of Coke in your honour!

I will watch his videos again and again and again, they're part of my childhood and the reason I animate. If he got to keep the time and enjoyment he's given to others for his own, he'd outlive every one of us.

Even YouTube's Spotlight is mourning Edd. That's how awesome he was, that he not only touched one community of users, but so many more.
I saw the news when it broke and I couldn't sleep right (it was about midnight in Britain), yet I didn't know him or even met him. Edd, you managed to wriggle your way into my heart when I didn't notice and I thank you for that.

First Randy and now this another great Artist and friend gone way to young.

This is the worst news i've heard in a long time. I had no clue that he had cancer and i hope the best for his family and friends. May he rest in peace. He was one of my favorite people on newgrounds and I will miss him dearly, along with all his talent.

I'm sorry to hear this. I've been a major fan of the Eddsworld series. Though there's a two-part Eddisode coming up, the future remains uncertain. What I honestly hope is that his memory will be forever immortalized in his works. Please, guys. According to Tom, "He left us without any fear." All he cared about was his flashes. Twice, he denied a TV show because it would drive a wedge between you, him, and his flashes. Don't remember him for how he died. Remember him for what he did before then.

Wonder if Tord was informed of Edd's unfortunate demise. Despite life troubles he too was a close friend of the trio.
