I'm planning on purchasing it on release tomorrow. Hopefully I can grab a copy. I'm going with good old Chikorita as a starter once I do get it. I've been hearing some great things about what they did with the game. I also heard that the Pokewalker is included in all cases, not just preordered ones.

I didn't realise how soon it was for this game to come out. I thought they weren't out until mid-April. Some of my friends have already pre-ordered it but I'll get it from the local stores when I can. I'll be getting SoulSilver seeing my sister's getting HeartGold to go with when we got Silver and Gold respectively. I can't wait to get this game as it's been so long since I last played Silver.
I'm totally getting SoulSilver. HeartGold implies that I'm gay. SoulSilver implies that I got "soul". I choose the latter.

Yes. I think each version has like 3 poekmon exclusive to that version, so you need to trade with someone with the other game to get a complete pokedex.

Whatever I'll also chose Totodile, Chikorita is a really weak to a lot of types and Typlosion is a weak version of Charizard.

The Red and Blue remakes didn't get a third game, unfortunately. We doubt there will be for these remakes.
Like one guy said, Cyndiquil is a pussy version of Charizard that can't fly. Totodile is a great starter, but Silver and Gold had Chinchou and Lantern. Water/Electric types that are bound to return in these remakes. Lantern is a beast with a lot of health and few weaknesses. I never have two water types, so I go with Chikorita.
To be honest, the second generation had some shit starter pokemon, but maybe they've been toughened up this time around.

Hasnt come out here in Aus, and out of impatience I downloaded both ROMS. Eh its ok i guess. I havent really enjoyed pokemon since LeafGreen. I hope this is the final one though, theyve remade all the old ones and these new pokemon suck. D:

Because every Pokémon game that's released is still a hell of a lot of fun. It's not like they're milking it for shite games every 4 months like Guitar Hero or Call of Duty... Every sequel Pokémon games are very, very, very fun.

I logged 3 hours of play time today. I've got a Chikorita(Leon), Geodude(Rockman), Pidgey(Pidg), Mareep(Sammich), and an Ekans(SolidSnake). Boy, this game sure is fun. Waiting until tonight to go back into the Sprout Tower to catch a Ghastly. I'm gonna name him TheSorrow.

Got my third badge and almost my fourth in less than 6 hours. I've got a Croconaw, a Pidgeotto, and other shit pokemon I don't want and are just filling the dex with.
