Ladies and gentlemen, the votes have been counted and checked by our official adjudicators, so it is now time to name some winners.
First off, I'd like to say a few words of thanks. Thank you to the mods who kept the threads from becoming a disorganised mess, thanks to Coop83 for helping to write up a lot of what you're about to read, thanks to Ismael92, Lizzardis and Bahamut who helped these awards run fairly smoothly, and most of all I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the awards by voting.
Now, without further ado, lets get on with the results. As with the awards everything is very tongue-in-cheek and not to be taken seriously, don't become offended because of any particular comments (and if you are, blame Coop :P).
Funniest User
Much laughter aside, this particular user has a seemingly endless supply of comical pictures, but in times when any old jerk can post funny pictures, the secret is good timing. And so, without further ado, I'll tell you that Piss came in second place, with 26.5% of the votes

Biggest Attention Whore
Clearly blowing one's own trumpet is something of a specialty for this winner. The traditional "Lookatmelol" award has certainly seen more than the fair share of this type of user over the past few years.
In spite of his self-felating, I still like Twilight, who pooled 34.3% of the vote, beating off GOTHCLAWZ, who managed a respectable (dependent upon your perspective) 23.5% in reply.
Drama Queen
After the events which unfolded in the discussion thread, was there ever really any doubt about Stickam's favuorite scapegoat? Again, it was GOTHCLAWZ who was second with 29.4%, but this time, we pay homage to Davidzx, with 39.2% of the vote.
Never Logs Off
Well, she may be obsessed with making a lot more posts than people, despite efforts to coerce her into joining in the meet up in London at the weekend, but I personally think that this award has been made for Gagsy.
Second place to her is EyeLovePoozy, with 19.8%.
I Miss Yew
Every year, we thrust our combined might into the ether of the interwebs in order to try and bring back the greatest of users from a time gone by. This time around, most of our attention was focused on attempting to bring back WilliWowza.
He finished with a commendable 30.3% of the internet trying to bring him back to e-life, while snappily named WeHaveFreshCookies finishes with 23.2% Come back soon, guys.
Best Artist
This category saw five top quality artists vying for control of the Golden Key to the Art Portal. In the end, it was left for User of the Year 2007, Luis, to win through, with an impressive 45.1% of the vote. ReNaeNae was a popular second place with 16.7% Everyone needs to review their works, as these people are the tip of the creative iceberg on Newgrounds.
Master Creator
Three words for you - Newgrounds Tank Wall. How on earth Elios didn't get nominated for Best Artist for this thing, I'll never know. He pooled 30.7%, showing us all that he likes balls alongside his tank wall project, pushing the slightly underrated FUNKbrs into second place with 20.1% *nudge nudge*.
Rookie of the Half Year
I think that some people got the wrong impression with this award. They'd all apparently like to break a rookie in, so with the option of some fresh meat, not many people went for it, with the runner up being Joshy94 (24.5%) and the winner by a country mile is NG's favourite CSI KrevZabijak, the 56.4% of the populous that voted for her are either straight or lesbians. YOU PERVERTS!

Biggest Spammer
Twilight should be happy with his one award, because it's actually not a slander on how crap his posting really is, despite receiving 27.5% of the vote. Someone who is certainly deserving of this Turd of the Half year is Ultor, who took home 33.3% of the vote and cried himself to sleep.
Most Overrated
Still too fucking funny from his Crane,EyeLovePoozy graciously accepts 31.4% of the vote. Runner up again is Twilight with 21.6 % (He should win a secondary award for most kicks in the balls IMO)
Probably a backlash from people who don't appreciate his locks and some band wagon riders, Poozy gets lumbered with this one again, setting up a streak.
Most Underrated
WHO?! It appears that Newgrounds' favourite dragon, Bahamut has somehow become the most underrated user. A veteran of the stats lists in the Where is / How to forum, Bahamut is also a keen Metal fan, frequenting places like the Metal Hell in the C&C, honing his reputation. Apparently now was the right time to strike, as he pooled exactly half of the votes, with TheSilverGuitar a worthy runner up with 27.5% of the votes.
Best Thread
Now it's time for the thread of the half year. For the sheer usefulness of the thread, Find all threads by a user! takes the vote at 30.4%. Clearly users pride the usability over the laughs supplied in The beast awakens despite the best and truly commendable intentions of DrForeman, who'll no doubt be insanely jellyous after seeing his efforts fail to procure the award. Perhaps he'll learn next time to frequent places like the NG Gym?
Most Improved
Well, he deserving of it, what more can I say? From the way he's started to conduct himself on Stickam, to his general demeanor on the BBS, Tramps takes the vote with 30.6%, beating EpicFail to a slightly less than epic failure. He finished with 21.4%.
Worst Mod
Popular opinion has spoken! UltraBear is the worst moderator on Newgrounds, his bear claws preventing coherent typing and giving him 42.2% against the join runners up of EyeLovePoozy (people don't like cranes, I guess) and Transformer (nor do they like Gay Porn either, apparently). They got 16.7% of the votes each. Even both together, they couldn't fight off the bear, who has sworn on his honour as a bear to eat the faces of those who voted for him.
Bears are worse than transforming cranes. FACT!
Best Mod
Right, the Moderator that helps run the BBS while holding an olive branch fashioned into a banhammer is Sanjay (24.5%). Man, I always preferred him when he went by the moniker of OsAmARaMA, since then, he's been going downhill :P
STEM came in second with a respectable tally (22.5%).
Worst Poster
Drama Vs Spam. Who'd have thought it?
It seems that Drama queenage triumphs over Spam, as Davidzx takes his second award of the night, with a disapproval rating of 29.4%. This edges out Ultor's 26.5%, although the contest was so close it would indicate that both are deserving of the title, but democracy rules.
Best Poster
Finally, the winner of the best poster 2009.5 is a man who really does think about his posts before pressing the button on them. He's certainly proven that quality can trump quantity, as the runner up has almost 3 times as many posts as him.
