That's the second theme I make and this time I made it for my great friend RohantheBarbarian. "www.rohanthebarbarian.ne wgrounds.com". He asked me to make a Metal song but not too brutal with tasty melodies, so here is the result, I hope you will like it :D.

I had fun composing this one, you will notice some Classical influences and also some Symphony X influences as almost all my songs. It took me a long ass time to compose it and I record it druring the Christmas holidays. I guess it's your late Xmas present haha. There are some technical guitar licks in that piece and I had to practice like a motherfucker to play them perfectly ... I think this is the first time I have to practice something I composed ... Weird. Also this is the first song I made with my new guitar and I'm pretty happy with it :D Anyway here is the gear I used to make this song:

Edit I: At 1:11, it's not a synth, it's my guitar with delay, octaver, reverb and a light distortion ; ).
Edit II: I put down the bass volume and turned up the volume of the guitar during the bridge at 2:28.
Edit III: I accidentally exported the song in mono, that's why the quality was low. It's now in stereo.
Edit IV: Extended the bridge a bit by adding an harpsichord harmonisation.

Tu m'énerves ! A ton âge ça devrait pas être permis de faire des trucs aussi propres. (et moi je galère a faire une compo correcte pendant ce temps). On change pas les bonnes habitudes, très progressif comme ce que j'aime et t'as toujours des ponts ou des transitions de malade mental.

This shit is fucking killer dude the production is nice although the kicker drum could be a little brighter and louder. Other than that man I'm digging it and will probably touch myself to it. *squirtz* hah good shit man.

This is pretty much one of the best tracks I've heared on Newgrounds!
There's not a damn thing wrong with it, everything is perfect!
I loved the fucking time sig changes, and the technicality of the guitar work was impressive as fuck.

Back when I started uploading to newgrounds years ago, there was nobody who could get such amazing clarity in their songs. Technology has come a long way because the quality in this is fucking superb compared to what people could do just a few years ago.

Good job man, keep up the amazing work!!

Thank you very much for the kind words, Gore, I appreciate it a whole lot :). You are right, it's now easy to make music yourself, at home and for free, though I still love the dirty old school sound :P.

"Great stuff"

I'm not too much of a fan of the introduction on the piano for this piece, because it's a little too repetitive for me, but then when it starts to blend with the guitar and drums, the tune really takes off.

I think that maybe a few vocals are called for here, even if it is a theme for RohantheBarbarian - perhaps we need to see if he's got a mic and get something sorted that he can abuse people as he sees fit :P Perhaps that should be his edited version though.

I know the guitar was played by you - what about the drums, bass and piano? Did you get them from your audio editing suite, or did you play them yourself as well? If you played them yourself, then you're just too damned talented!

First, thanks for the review, Coop, I'm always happy to see reviews from you, it's always constructive and helpful.

The intro is actually a bit repetitive but I added three 3|4 bars in the intro to make it less repetitive and to have it sounding more interesting. It would seem it doesn't really work :P.

I was thinking about asking Bad-Man-Incorporated or XxCrucifiedxX to record some vocals on it but I forgot about that, next time I catch one of them on the MSN I will make sure to ask them.

Yes, the guitar is played by me, the bass too. Though I don't have any Midi drum kit so I can't record the drum myself, as a consequence, they are programmed. It's the same thing with the piano, I don't have any Midi controller so the piano is programmed too.
