While Pico Day is my favorite day of the year, my least favorite is sorting the winners! It's all about the highs and lows, right?

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated. It really is the best gift anyone can give, and I think lots of folks on NG get the same sort of joy I get from it. There were lots of visual treats this year!

1st Place, $1500:


Nogfish has made some of my favorite (and underrated) Pico Day submissions over the years (here and here) so it's exciting to finally dub him THE BEST of the year.

2nd Place, $1250:


Earlier this year I commented on how pretty Gonzossm's stuff looks, so lucky me, his prettiest movie yet is for Pico Day! Another favorite by him happens to feature Darnell.

3rd Place, $1000:


Some of the best artists on NG came together to make this epic Pico collab. It includes a new piece by last year's winner, Zombie-Pimp!

Runner-up Movies, $200 each:


Winner of a Wacom tablet for best mouse-drawn movie:


The brotherly love prize ($100 each) goes to:


Game of the Year, $1000:


Runner-up Games, $200 each:


MindChamber is on the staff so I left out Da Pink Knight, but FrostedMuffins gets a bonus for coding it!


Most of the games have medals this year, so GO EARN SOME!

Winners should fill out the address form to claim your cash. One of these days, we really will stick little trophy icons on your submissions... Retroactive, I promise!!!

Great job on the choices, while Fatherly Bonds had flashy graphics and awesome sounds, Nogfish took the cake with the fluidity.

Pico's Cool was my favourite this year, so I'm glad it won something. The Twins always know how to use a good piece of music in their flashes. Also, I like that Tankmen game by Peroxide, it reminded me of that Xbox 360 game, Small Arms. It's a real pity that dynamic camera thing screwed over the game.

Congrats to the winner, there was some great stuff this year. I really enjoyed Run, Darnell, Run!, Nogfish has made a great job, I loved the movie's style. I'm pretty sure it was a pain in the ass to animate. And I still haven't watched some of the runner ups :/ I guess I'll do it tonight :D
