Happy Pico Day everyone!

Today is the fourth annual Pico Day, where everyone makes movies and games in tribute to the classic NG original and everything that has followed, such as Tank Men, Dad 'n Me and the bots.

Did I mention Pico now has medals?!


Pico Day started as an idea by Galloglasses and a date set by Mogly, which happens to be my birthday. You can see the first ever Pico Day here, as well as 2007 and 2008.

While I have your attention, here is some news!

Luis has posted the results of the Pink Castle Crasher food contest! He even set up a fabulous photo page.

Edmund McMillen staged a Draw Me Nude contest, the prize being his old Wacom tablet. The results were pretty awe-inspiring, here are the winners.

And to think, we gave out over 30 Wacom tablets in December as gifts, when we could have had naked pictures of the whole staff by now! BTW Edmund is releasing a new game next week (Spewer) and it may be his best yet! You should know him already from these:


Rucklo has posted the winners of the March Audio Contest. The theme was songs for kids and I'm already planning to play some of these for Baby Fulp!


For my own little contribution to Pico Day, I've added medals to Domo-Kun Angry Smashfest! I was always really proud of this game I made with RoG from I-Mockery, but never felt like it got a fair shot. Quite simply, it was too hard for most people to experience everything that went into it. This time around, I've added an extra life. These medals will also finally reveal the metric fuk-ton of easter eggs we put in this game:


Speaking of RoG, check out his latest site: Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum! Starting this Friday at 1am EST, Doc Mock (RoG in a crazy wig) will be screening rediculous old b-movies. It's a live show with a chat room and live Q&A, so don't miss the party!

Until then, WATCH EVERY SINGLE PICO DAY SUBMISSION and earn some Domo medals in between. HAPPY PICO DAY!!!

I got my submission finished and ready to go. It will be submitted tomorrow at 4:30 EST. If not then something like 7:30 EST. The three hours earlier is because I'm planning on ditching school just for the occasion, and I want as many people as possible to see my Dad 'n Me movie.

Hey Tom, do you think you can make a front page post after Pico Day showing every non-spam submission submitted in the theme of Pico Day. I know that's a lot of work, but Underdog animators like us would be really happy.
