Not bad, but I'd smooth out the face if I were you.

well I don't normally use it to create more to touch up. I model in Max and then put it in to zbrush to paint the model and make it more realistic

Oh yea it is a great way to paint models without all the complex mapping and all that, and also making details such as wrinkles or I don't know pores.... but since I'm learning zbrush... I made the lion from a 3dplane primitive

it's an epically powerful tool once you get the hang of it, your lion here is already pretty good. you should search up some tutorials on it to get some advanced tips, they'll come in hand later.

Really cool, I though you were taking a class or something. eh I find it easier to look from books myself, but sometimes it's good to have someone you can ask.

the thing is: you are using some dents and scratches. but you don't have any 'painting' on the thing (if you get what I mean). the wear (such as dents and scratches) should also be visible in the actual color of those areas, the absence of that is what makes it look weird

I really like it, but the mane doesn't look like a mane. Try define the hairs more.

The texture in the bottom left looks awesome.

No, I use the mouse as normal, I have one tablet but I do not use it, I prefer to save for a touch screen computer to be used with pen, if there are LOL, :D
