I've deleted my profile and in the process of recovering it now - sacrificing all my save games in the process. Good for some games (Too Human for example) as I wanted to do those again, but bad for others (Fallout 3, Fable II) as I'd already obtained "perfect" files. Especially Fable II as I'll have to do another career run for the DLC when I finally decide to play it.

And all for the sake of the last 10GS in Mercenaries 2. It better fucking work.

And I thought I had a chance for WoTW, fuck.

990/1000 Mercenaries 2... mother fucker. Only thing I haven't tried is a different disc, but I highly doubt that's the issue.

And seeing as I've had to delete everything to retry for it it's put me off the rest of my games too. Go Mercenaries.

It seems it is the disc very weirdly, just went through on my old profile and it still didn't unlock. Never heard of a locked out disc before.

If it seems like I'm going on a lot about this it's because I am. This whole "100% every game" thing I have going is the thing that I use to bring myself through the misery that is my life. And if it's ruined I don't know what the fuck I'll do

I'm on 8,005 GS now. Sadly it doesn't allow me to move up the board. I was playing some Half Life 2 before and must have got an achievement or two even though I don't remember getting them.

I found this post from another guy who is experiencing the same problem. He tried using another disc, still no help, and went as far as contacting customer service, which didn't do much for him:

I also found this, but no idea if you've attempted it or if it will make a difference. I never got far in Mercs 2 so I don't really know much about it, but this guy says something about an easier way to get the achievement is by doing one destruction race and two races of the "other type." Not entirely sure what that means, maybe you will.

I just bought Left 4 Dead so my gamerscore should be going up quite a bit. I have a few of the achievements already.

:( All my last hopes were riding on "faulty disc".

And to be honest I don't blame the customer services, not everyone experiences the issues so they won't put any effort at all into fixing it. As much as it infuriates me, it would make no sense to do anything about it.

The achievement naturally has to pop from getting the rest; "Digital Man" requires you to win in excess of 22 different races.

Thanks for the effort Syko, didn't expect it.

It's pathetic that I'm so affected by it, but it really grinds on me. I might try and contact MS to delete the game from my card and score with it. I'd rather not have it there at all then 10 GS shy of perfection.
