Reviews for "Voiceless (Legacy version)"

my brain hurts

i like it

good game but I died on level 1 for 543 time

- I think this game should have easy mode

really cute and a really cool concept but just too hard.

- this game needs more checkpoints!! took me ages to get the first checkpoint on level 1 and even then i kept dying and dying before i got to the end.

- dying/going off-beat feels too long, maybe shave off a little bit of the time and gameplay would be smoother. also the off-beat animation is too harsh. if it just made you jump up instead of to the side it would be better, it can kill you and you have to restart all over again if you accidentally click jump.

- idk if it was just me but i kept missing inputs with my double jumps? in midair instead of jumping twice, i would just hit the note and it would clap.

- the music slaps hard, would work well for a regular platform/adventure game but man its so hard to determine the beats! i think if it was simpler then it would be more effective. look at rhythm heaven for example: the music is much simpler but it works in its favour. it has an easy beat to learn and adapt to and straightforwardly indicates when to tap. (also a lot of the tracks in this game sound really similar to each other: beat wise and melodically. it can make listening to the music rather irritating.)

- everything keeps going out of sync, i know that you can reset but i don't wanna lose my checkpoint. it makes things like the disappearing boxes very janky because every time i go back to them after i die, they're at a different pace/beat.

- a tutorial world would be great. i had no idea you could double jump until halfway through level 1. this could also get the player used to the controls and style of the game a bit more since it's rather hard to adapt to especially if you've played lots of regular platformers before.

- the character slides too much after walking/jumping. it can cause unnecessary deaths.

- the timing icon is practically useless in that area. you can't see it most of the time because you're looking at the gameplay. i feel a good solution would to maybe make some of the background art move/pulse to the beat to give a more natural synchronisation for the player.

i love the art and idea of this game but it just needs some serious smoothing around the edges. i'd love to see what you have to offer later on for this game because i genuinely think it could be amazing. it has such unique gameplay and amazing sprite design but it's just a bit irritating to play at points. good luck in your journey!!

great rhythm game and I really hope that it gets more attention. A lot of rhythm games don't do anything like this so this is pretty welcome.

-Well the first couple levels should be way easier, they were pretty tough for me because I haven't played anything like this ever (just really finger ddr and fnf) and I had so much trouble on the first level.
-I LOVE the character designs so much. They are really cool and unique!
-music is a banger
-I do genuinely want to really improve at this games levels instead of just playing it once and leaving.
-maybe move the thing where you look to see when you click the tempo of the beat somewhere else? or make it an option of where to put it like: (the top of the screen, the bottom of the screen stuff like that)
overall good game but it just has some problems it needs to iron out.
