Reviews for "Bloodborne NES"

might be OK, but the controls are terrible, hit detection isn't good, and there's a lag between hitting the button and the attack. Should be arrow buttons for movement and Z/X for attack and jump or something simular. Plus I'd prefer one button for shooting. With this setup it's like pushing up and another button to shoot.

Game slowdown and lose controls in beginning level 2, under roof.
Hero just not react on buttons.
Odd controls (why not W - jump, K - hit, L - shot?).

sometimes early this place.
It's feel like game lost windows focus, but isn't. Mouse clicks execte prev. pressed buttons.

I appreciate the NES graphics, the remix of the soundtrack, and Bloodborne being one of my favorite games. However I found the controls not very intuitive; For example you could've easily routed the standard awd as movement jump and even including s for jumping down to a lower floor for instance. There's no reason for w+k to be the shoot control when they could've remained separate buttons. With criticisms out of the way have you considered hunter tools available similar to classic Castlevania power-ups? Because ultimately that's the closest game you'd be approaching with this style of gameplay. Of course you could also pump up the graphics and bring it closer to a metroidvania which is admittedly over played but still enjoyable.

Liked a bit, needs a little improvement on the mecanics of the game in general, the dogs were a pain in the ass.
anyway, nice game! good job on the graphics too!

Good Concept poor execution ( I don't care if it was made in 4 days). Problem 1 the health is too low even with life steal 2 hits to die with 3 health is unfair make enemies do 1 damage a hit or give the player 5 health so dying takes 3 hits 2 the attack animation is a good reference to the original castlevania but the range on it sucks and 3 the enemy spam in the 4th area combined with glitchy platforms make the experience worse overall fix these issues and I will gladly give 5 stars
