Reviews for "Geneva Convection"

Hard to figure out, and kind of slow once you do figure it out, but I still had a little fun. Judging by the other reviews, it needs a win condition. Perhaps one last, game winning upgrade that makes the death ray powerful enough to blow up the earth would do.
A few playing tips: When a valve shifts, there will be a hiss, and big white lines will be emitted from the valve that is shifting. The thing that directly determines how much the generator or capacitor is being cooled is apparently neither the temperature of a cooling room nor the position of its valve, but how many dots are flowing through a light blue pipe connected to the room. It is possible to save the death ray after the capacitor blows up, but you must not waste any time. After turning the cooling rooms, immediately turn the control room valve all the way and fire when it says fire. If the capacitor blows too soon, it's probably overcharged in which case your only possible hope is for the generator to blow up before the ray gets too hot and THEN to repair the capacitor and then quickly repair the generator.

I think It's very good game and the idea is amazing but it's impossible to play and you can't fix the generator or capacitor but the idea is great I loved it ,just a little advice as soon as the generator or capacitor start jamming try to open the capacitor monitor room knob or the generator monitor room knob that will help to prevent it from going down, great game :)

This is an interesting concept which should by all means be a great game. The problem is that you have almost no time to react. Your capacitor room overheats and then well... you're fucked. You can't repair it and can't do anything but wait to blow up. If you gave some time to react, and made it repairable you would have a decent game. But as it stands now, that is a MAJOR issue with it.

I understand this game was made in only 72 hours but alot of the rooms didn't really seem to serve a purpose or none that was clear to me. Another thing was that my reactor would just break down for no apparent reason, it wasn't over heating, its thermostat was upgraded and ever room had at least one of every upgrade yet everything still failed. Which brings me to my next point having an upgrade system in a game is a great quality if its done right. The upgrades in this game didn't make much of an impact what i was doing. I got one of my rooms thermostat upgrades to level 3 yet it was the first one to overheat while my other rooms had a lower thermostat rating. Overall i feel this game has potential to be a great game i love the concept, i just would like to see more features added like hiring people to help manage things or as just expendable labor.

the cooling rooms cool the reactor, the monitoring rooms get rid of the static

It could be a really fun game, but the "tutorial" is very poor and the instructions aren't very clear.
