Reviews for "Geneva Convection"

I understand this game was made in only 72 hours but alot of the rooms didn't really seem to serve a purpose or none that was clear to me. Another thing was that my reactor would just break down for no apparent reason, it wasn't over heating, its thermostat was upgraded and ever room had at least one of every upgrade yet everything still failed. Which brings me to my next point having an upgrade system in a game is a great quality if its done right. The upgrades in this game didn't make much of an impact what i was doing. I got one of my rooms thermostat upgrades to level 3 yet it was the first one to overheat while my other rooms had a lower thermostat rating. Overall i feel this game has potential to be a great game i love the concept, i just would like to see more features added like hiring people to help manage things or as just expendable labor.

the cooling rooms cool the reactor, the monitoring rooms get rid of the static

I guess I am just used to seeing more detailed stuff from you. I mean, this actually was good in its details, but it didn't seem to be worth it to understand it. I do appreciate you looking for something new. It's amazing how we're having this dare over Pico Day. The music was quite good and seemed to set the tune. I don't know much about the real geneva convention.

It just seemed like there wasn't much I could do here. I'm used to playing games from you that have a more clear understanding of how to play it. The directions should really not be that complicated for a game made only in two days. Hey, stuff exploded for no reason! I just don't have the time to be interested in this.

It could be a really fun game, but the "tutorial" is very poor and the instructions aren't very clear.

This is exactly why tutorials that introduce the game mechanics one by one are needed. I like the concept and the graphic style, but it's basically impossible to play only with the instructions you give. Things just explode for no apparent reason no matter what you do.
Other than that, I like the concept and the graphic style, but it's hard to make a good review when almost nobody can pass the first level.

The Idea is good. But At first, it's impossible to figure out what to do. Even after reading the "detailed" instructions.
A simple, quick explanation of every room and what happens if it overheats/stops working, would have been greatly appreciated.
Once you get passed the huge learning curve, the game becomes extremely redundant. I've destroyed over 20 cities, it's just the same thing over and over : spin valves to neutral, upgrade valves, power, capacity... don't see much of a change in the machine, repeat. being able to buy, say an extremely expensive stable valve would have been nice, and a that point make the machine grow.

I won't get into whether it's minimalistic or not, it won't change the game itself

oh, and pause button would be a nice luxury, having to play with valves for a while before it can fire and pause the machine is pain...
