Reviews for "Geneva Convection"

This is exactly why tutorials that introduce the game mechanics one by one are needed. I like the concept and the graphic style, but it's basically impossible to play only with the instructions you give. Things just explode for no apparent reason no matter what you do.
Other than that, I like the concept and the graphic style, but it's hard to make a good review when almost nobody can pass the first level.

how the fuck do i play this??

So a lot of complaints about the instructions. I did read your instructions, but they are not as clear in the beginning. Later on you understand it. I do not really mind the lack of it, though it would have been a welcome addition.

In the beginning this game is pretty hard. actually the game gradually becomes easier and easier, depending a bit on your upgrade decisions.

When you bought 2 satellites, you could just close that station down by letting it overheat.
you could ignore the generator power upgrade, so to make the game easier. I did this in the beginning, but loading the beam would take ages.
The capacitor upgrade became very expensive very quickly and although I had a lot of cities to destroy, it wouldnt let me destroy big cities, so money was coming in very slowely.
When I was saving up money I also would let my research lab get destroyed.

after a while I just figured it would take ages to get the money and I started upgrading the power quite a bit. It definitiely became harder, but not really. at that time I was already bored with it.

at first glance this looks like a very fun game, somewhat complicated, but soon you notice that its pretty easy, but very boring. I think I would have enjoyed this game much more if you would earn more money and the world had lesser cities. No way that I was going to finish this game. I cant imagine anybody did. Not because its not possible (its easy), but because it takes ages.

has potential. Needs to be easier to begin with.

Really rather difficult to get going in the game, and once that generator decides to shut down, seemingly at random and unbidden, there's no way to save it, and you may as well wander off and let the base die. An interesting concept that would benefit from further alteration to make it a really fun game.
