Reviews for "Trigger Knight"

Nice!

Great idea, and a fun, simple game.

I like it.

Fun, Lucky

This game was fun and I liked the random challenge -- I'll admit, it wasn't what one would expect from a one-click RPG.

I liked the variation in the enemies, and that it was impossible to beat the dragon without a divine edge, driving decisions like, 'elixir now, or dragon later?'

I also liked that she fought by herself, without the mouse being clicked. Very different from what I expected, and it's good to have a game focus more on the strategy than the timing.

Only two issues, both rather minor:
First, I would have liked to see the character change with the addition of new armors and weapons. Even just a palette swap would be gratifying. In addition, some scenery change would also be appreciated but only in a longer game.

The other issue was that there were caps. I rather wish you could continue upgrading past astral, preferably on some sort of equation that allows me to continue forever. Or (an easier fix) allow armor shops to still function as heals even while maxed out (you could even continue increasing the price!)

Overall, good game, smooth graphics, nice balance of strategy and luck

For those of you complaining about difficulty, try waiting until the last second to purchase shrines (and never buy them while over 50% life), or simply don't buy anything at all for the first several enemies. Use tactics.

One wonders what life is like in a world where one can only live for 90 seconds without violence and money...

"Immensely enjoyable".

When I first read what it's about, I thought it's just another of those one-play-and-you're-bored games. Well guess what, it waasn't.

It had a surprisingly large amount of content inside. Some ability to do future planning is obviously also important, and some luck is in order as well.

I don't complain about the weapon and armor not changing, and the music that, even though fitting and nice, gets repetitive, since I hope that changing weapons and armor and new soundtracks will be included if there ever is a full version, which I hope there will be.

Although, I still don't get how some people get impossibly high scores... Any idea how, and if you can take them off there?

Enjoyable game

I noticed the use of Ragnarok weapon names in this game :P.

Trying your hand at the game APP ?

I suspect with your "one button" RPG line that you are using NG as a testing site for a game you hope to release into the game App world.

I figured I would toss out a few things here I noticed while playing this surprising entertaining game, that may or may not help out.

1.) The random generator you have for "stages", is often at times too random, 3 stores in a row, one fight, 3 more stores, not only makes it hard to keep up with the ever increasing difficulty of the monsters (as the days by they get stronger but the less fighting leaving you with less gold) it also at times eats through your Life, making you spend what little gold you can manage to gather up to be spent on soul shrines, making it harder and harder to catch up with the monsters, in the end losing that arms race.

However that being said, when it does work it provides a nice balance and makes you feel more engaged in decision making i.e if you should spend that gold now, wait a fight, and then buy that armour coming up or wait and get a weapon/health/etc, and you feel as if you can strategically spend that hard earned gold.

2.) Upgrading weapons and armour, should change the visual appearance of the Knight herself, both for the weapon and armour. It adds alittle extra to the game as people like to see their character changing as they get stronger.

3.) This is more of minor graphics thing, but the health bar for the Stone Golem is RIGHT ontop of its eyes which makes it seem out of place, as if your struggling to look around it and actually look at your opponent. I suggest it gets moved

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, having all the right cards in place to be able to kill a dragon after day 8 is a challenge, but I think part of the charm to keep replaying.

Best of luck with your project.
