Reviews for "Outpost:Haven"

Fantastic game, but some problems.

I'll start by saying that the game is well designed, the premise is kind of cliche I'll admit, but it added some fun twists. Many levels of the design demonstrated that you understand the underlying elements that MAKE horror; darkness, surprises, uncertainty, limited resources, little things that jump out (exploding pipes, etc) and so forth. In total, it made a great gameplay feel and kept entertaining throughout.

Now I'll list the bugs I've found:
-Refire rate is listed as "reload speed" in weapon stats, should probably be fixed for clarity.
-On the 6th level, a floor-grate explodes and small larva fly out. Problems is, I was caught inside the hole where they spawn, with no way out and inescapable death. Ouch.
-When switching to another window and back (I've got a chat window rolling while playing) your cursor vanishes in menus.
-When switching to another window and back, the arrows and scroll bar in many menus, particularly the SHOP, disappear, but the home button is still there and will refresh it, still not great though.
-On the level where doors are being opened by your hacker friend, I picked up a PDA while the dialogue went on for opening the door, and was frozen inside the PDA, and died consequently as the combat was still going, probably the dialogue un-pause unpaused the PDA's pause? (Just a Theory)
-Froze on the 7th level, while firing my handgun, not much else that made it stand out, sorry.

Overall, FANTASTIC game. Lovin' it.

good job

but if i wanted 2 play a game like this i would just play alien swarm but great job making a flash game based off alien swarm now i dont need steam

If you get scared of this...

Play DarkBase...

Very good

I'd have given a perfect but at one point a a floor vent spawner popped up and I got stuck and had to restart

Evocative

Reminds me of Space Hulk, Aliens, and Dead Space all at once.

I just really hate the WubWubWub sound all the time.

WubWubWubWubWubWub. Spaceships make other sounds.

Squize responds:

There are around 4 different ambient space station sounds in there, and they're quite low in the mix.

Thanks for the feedback and playing it though.
