Reviews for "Gyossait"

Beautiful.

I do kind of wish the story was a bit clearer, and I do kind of wish that the controls were a bit easier, but other than that, this was a piece of art. You've created a world that is, by far, one of the greatest game environments I've ever seen, and that's saying something for a pixel game.

By the way, the credits say "Project Fuding."

An Incredible Experience

I'm not going to rate this as a game. As a game, it's sadly subpar. There's no replay value as there's no extra goodies for you to try and work for. It feels like a one time thing... except for how amazing it is. The way the story is revealed to you, the things you have to do in order to progress, and the absolute atmosphere of it all make this an incredible experience. The design and depth of it made all the jarring moments that much more horrifying. The setup is grand and the horrors you face seem almost eldritch in makeup. I give this a 10/10 as an art game for, in the end, it's not really a good "game," but it is an amazing piece of work nonetheless.

Creepy, but clunky

I liked the atmosphere, but the character was too hard to control. After the fourth time I died because it's hard to jump a short distance or because I walked off the edge of something, I decided to call it quits.

@ geronitus

did u play it in the dark?
weird shit man...

this....

i'm not sure if game is the right word for it... but it was truely amazing. i wish people could see what they are doing nowdays is not too diffrent from this, killing eachother to get ahead, lashing out at what they can't (or won't) understand and using religion to justify it all.
