Let's be clear...
In fact, I liked the simple gameplay. Making it more complicated would have been a stupid decision, and u decided to make it simple. So bonus for that. But that doesn't mean is all ok...
First of all, I'ma tell u the bad stuff. Even though I love simple gameplay, it was way too simple in this game. Just using 5 buttons doesn't feel right. You don't have other goal that just going through each level. It would have been awesome to have more powers to face evil forces and find our loved one. The other issue is physics. DAMN JUMPS! I mean, you could have improved that. I was so frustrated by dying all the time and losing my weapons (is not a big spoiler, don't complain first time gamers). Also the fact that everytime you walk you slide a little bit. I was all the time landing at the edge of a platform just to find myself sliding and falling into acid or whatever that was. This added more frustration to the fact that the graphics are tricky and I could tell which were backgrounds and which platforms.
Now, this takes away a lot of points, right? But here comes the good stuff. You did create one of the most amazing atmospheres in flash gaming. I loved the details in the world. Music was so right this time. Also there was a lovely something in this dark adventure about a god descending in a mortal form to find it's true love.
A lot of people found hard the way you learned to play, but I quite like it. The dialogues are awesome and the best is that even though sometimes is hard to understand some things, this added more curiosity to the story. Trying to find out what's going on in Oyeatia's mind while being corrupted by Gyossait is so interesting.
You definitely should improve this game (gameplay and a little bit the graphics). Maybe you could release a X-Box Live Arcade version. And please, also Steam (I don't own neither X-Box 360° or PS3).
Well, that's practically it. For the people who haven't played this and are reading, don't expect a great gameplay, because is not here. But if you decide to finish it, you'll have a great story.
