Reviews for "Quick Sand"

Decent Game

Pretty fun game, i found that the movements were a little hard. i would over jump or slide alot xD, but over all it was a good play.

Pretty decent for a timed mini platformer.

This game was difficult enough to have me ask at every level "When will it be over?" but addicting enough to keep me from quiting. It is pretty decent for a timed mini platformer. I am not even going to attempt to beat the lava mode. I am convinced it is impossible. The game was hard enough as sand.

A big issue that made the game play a dreaded experience was the controls. Repeatedly the character kept going in one direction and would not stop until I double tapped the appropriate arrow. With the rising sand, it was too late to succeed. I had to reset at least five times for every level because of the sticking keys alone. Another ill trait is the absence of a menu. Immediate action wasn't what I expected and without an explanation of directions, I died quite a few times whilst trying to figure out the controls. Those insignificant drawings of keys were inadequate. I know where the space bar on a keyboard is. There was no mention of what it actually does. I kept thinking the space bar caused the character to jump, thus leaving me confused for a few minutes. I did not know about the wall jump until I kept dying in a level that was crucial to know it and out of frustration, I started to rapidly mash the jump button. My suggestion is to lengthen the animated introduction by showing the female trying to escape the sand before skipping to the game play. This way, players know the objective; but before the sand starts to rise, there should be words on the screen explaining the controls so that all confusion is cleared.

challenging

what i said abuv

good game

pretty hard sometimes.

underwhelming

the game is not really rewarding enough to make me want to keep playing, and after a while the rooms are so challenging that you can't keep playing anyway.
