Reviews for "Ultimate Chess"

Stalemate! WTF?

I had a queen, two bishops, and a knight and all hes as is a couple of pawns! How the hell is that a stalemate?!?!?!

RatherRandomReality responds:

Stalemate can seem unfair sometimes, but it is one of the founding rules in chess. It doesn't matter how many pieces you have - you can have 6 queens on the board and still draw the game! Click on "chess rules" in the main menu and find the page that explains "Stalemate", read carefully and it will make sense.

hmmmm i dunno

Not able to change the difficulty is a big turn off for me. The animation isnt great and i saw a plagurised image and LOADS of robbed sound effects.

Well done...

@ AndresUru

That's not a 'bug' AndresUru, that's a move called 'En Passent'. Check out the moves of chess on Wikipedia.

I like it!

I know how hard should be making a "Chess" game in flash. You deserve a high score.
Although the animations of the executions could be better, but I love it.
The difficulty is alright, I lose because I suck playing
I still miss the Horse>Horse and the King>Queen Executions...
I'm trying to get them
Overall I like the game a lot, could improve in animations but its alright!!!

SWEET

Great game, I found a bug however, when I moved a pawn forward 2 spaces up, a black pawn on his right could still eat him moving diagonally one, even though they were next to each other. Very strange.

Still, brilliant game.

RatherRandomReality responds:

Thank you for your review. What you experienced is a legal move in chess and it's called "en passant". It is explained in depth in the "Chess Rules" section.
