I've never been too big on chess but this game has me hooked.The difficulty was just right if you ask me. At first I agreed with Naeon , I thought the computer was too perfect but then I noticed how very predictable it could get since it always made the most logival choices which were decided according to the value of each piece and the position they're left in. Went from difficult to easy in 3 or 4 rounds. Animations were great but the thing that cost you a star is that some animations were utterly unsatisfactory. Perhaps it was pure lazyness perhaps lack of time or patience but I'd very much rather see how a piece gets slaughtered than just see it's bloody mangled deformed corpse.(And yes I enjoyed writing that sadistic sentence)
Anyways. Good game, good AI, good-ish animations, good idea. 5/5 9/10

Well, the idea is that if you loose a piece you see a still image and if you capture a piece you see an animation as a reward. Thanks for the nice words, K&M.

Worth a round or two

I dont like that the voices were take from the old warcraft game. Better sounds could have easily been used. Some of the executions were entertaining - others were very dull.

Difficulty is set nicely for new players. I'd like to see the option to view all animations after you win.

Great chess game...
And even though Naeon finds it impossible to beat, I found it great because actually it ain't that hard to beat, so you can actually win with some basic knowledge on how to play chess...

Just like every other electronic chess game, the computer doesn't make mistakes. I might as well challenge a calculator to a math contest.

Tetris ending theme? lol great AI. I only wish the animations were faster. I liked the audio response for every piece. Keep up the great work.
