Reviews for "My Pet Protector 2"

i got a tier 5 result at the end

still the game has quite some flaws.
it's hard to get into and very frustrating in the beginning.
also it's not even the full version which is really annoying.

the stress system is far to restricting and the only reason why i did good in this game is that i was that i was lucky to discover the mountain castle really early which recovered my stress faster and also boosts stats.

the combat system is really strange. in the beginning i wouldnt hit a thing but once i hit age 15 suddenly i hit everything.

the jobs like smithing took way to long to learn with the stress system. once i had a decent chance to make stuff half the game was over. and even then the stuff was crap. for it to become good i would have to skill enchanting too.

but then again why bother? the equip you get with your birthday is way better anyway than anything you can find ( at least in this version, i couldnt go into the kongregate only ones)

all in all the idea is good but the balancing and usefulness of many things is questionable. and the missing/unclear tool tips didn't help either.

omg

its a good game only problem is that 1. its WAY to hard sometimes like when i just started i was pited aginst an enemie that did 40-something attack 2. i missed 13 times in a row wtf 3.seriously bu the shop is just good for selling and buying pots so you should really improve it

...

It's good but needs some improvments:
-you miss too much
-they hit too much
-more explainations (skills, places, jobs, etc)
And a party system would be nice too.

Played it to the end, here are my comments.

The game lacks serious polish.

On Kongregate you respond to the complaints that people have with missing seventy times in a row by saying, "Raise your tactics." Well, it took me forever to actually understand that that's what tactics does. I only found out by reading that comment.

Everything else is also completely clueless. I didn't know that I could go to school at the forge and make things. I didn't know about making things at the clothing place. I didn't know what enchanting was or how to use it. I didn't know that bravery gives me access to more things. You dump people into this large, confusing world without an in-game guide. You say, "Hey, you have so many weeks to become awesome," but nobody has a clue what to do to get there.

The graphics suck. You use strung-together generic art without any kind of animation. The dungeon's look ridiculous.

The stress system sucks. It doesn't make any kind of sense. I am on my way, LEAVING THE DUNGEON, and I am getting stressed out about this. It takes me a month of time to become unstressed. Oh, except I could just level the town garden, which I didn't know I could do.

The missing sucks. When you have two hundred people complaining about a game system, don't feed them, "Just level stuff." GO FIX IT.

Having to find materials in the dungeon sucks. What, nobody cuts down their own trees anymore?

The music. GOD DAMN, the music. What were you thinking? What the hell? If you're going to shovel the most horrible, brain-shattering retard sounds on the planet into your game, and the only mute button is in the menu, and IT DOESN'T WORK, you have to lower the volume, which STILL DOESN'T GET RID OF IT COMPLETELY? Are you a sociopath? Did you make this game solely to force people to completely lose their mind? I'm still trying to figure this out. I mean, have you played your own game? Did YOU try it? Did you even listen to the music? HAVE YOU LISTENED TO IT?

Finally, we are at the end. The whole package isn't bad. But it seems to me that you created a nice leveling structure and piled a heap of garbage on it to finish it out. My advice to you is to polish your game before handing it to the public to be skewered.

better but still far from perfect...

although i admit much better then the first game, still leaves quite a bit to be disierd

pros: greatly increased chance to dodge(unfortunatly, same with the enemy,i was fightin a skeleton for almost 5 minutes cus he kept dodging)
health potions(we actually stand a chance now since almost all creatures ahve higher hp then 180)
time(longer time,horray)

cons: loss of fame(idk if its supost to happen, but i lose 30 fame everytime i lose/flee a battle & it says i GAINED 30 fame though i lost it)
odd disscount system(i had rather high chrisma & charm, yet my discount was only 5% chrisma & 3% charm)
odd comphassion registering system(i had over 500 compassion yet the "hurt animal" encounter thought i had really low comphassion, even worse is right after my first hurt animal,i lost 20 comphassion due to a medic i couldnt help)
villige(does building the bank actually do somthing or is it just to waste our time, gold & resorces?)
job system(how are we supost to do the "age 18" jobs if our heros leave at age 18?)
gender/race(when i first saw this was out i expected youd of added the ability to be male or female & to be a diffrent race other then borring old humans)
special attacks(how the HELL am i to get like 700 attack/defence to use one of the specials?)
screen size(whats the point in being able to "maximize" the screen if it dosnt increase the size of the important things like the actual game screens say,the inventory?)

there are more but i cant remember

overall a bit better then the first game, but hardly

2/5 + 6/10
