In a league of its own
Blanco y Negro was one of the first movies I ever saw when I first discovered The Portal. At the time I saw it, I was disappointed. Not with the graphics or sound, but with the ending. I felt it was too abrupt. I wanted to see the hero and this femme fatal develop a relationship based on lust, greed, and mistrust. Of course, once I started checking the portal regularly, I came to realize that Blanco y Negro was in a league of its own. Other than the abrupt ending, everything about the movie is great. The drawing style, the use of music and sound effects, the pacing; it all adds up to a creepy, suspenseful, film-noir-esque short that stands above almost every other portal movie I have seen. This is one of the best.
