i've been waiting a long time for this game to come out and I have to admit that i had a lot of spectectations for this game and this game was above all of em' this game covered the most awesome games of the NES using they're gameplay and music with a very awesome ending (haha) I found this game so original and complete with the perfect level of hardness and epicness that every game deserves and certainly a game like abobo's big adventure this game was certainly an 8-bit dream to me and i have to admit that I enjoyed more the boss fights than the actual levels because you have to develop your own strategy to beat them and because THEY'RE SO CREATIVE it's like I would play this game just because it has awesome bosses like a shadow of the colossus, because I have already seen the same gameplay and music on the original games but cuz those games are so cool playing them with abobo is even cooler! and the lol's let's not forget those beautiful lol's that this very game brought to me.
This game was truly a game that every NES gamer should play I say congratulations to the dev team! this was one of the most original games I have ever played. I really loved your work you have done something truly amazing
this game really deserves a 10/10 for your work and dedication of this Awesome game! Thanks
May we never forget the lols.
Put it in a grey cartridge and sell it...
It only took 25 years, but someone finally made an NES game that can compete with the stuff I play on next gen consoles. The only way this could have been any more true to form is if I had to flip my laptop over and blow into a USB port. The nostalgia factor is incredible and scope of content covered is amazing. I'm sure I missed a ton of stuff just because there is so much going on. Great sprite and 8-bit design, the levels were great, and controls, save a few sensitivity issues on a couple of the levels, were perfect. This goes beyond a great game into the realm of pop-art. Live to game, game to live.
I don't usually review games, but
This is fucking amazing. The art, the sounds, the sprites, the gameplay, the controls, everything is perfect. One of the best flash games I've ever played, right up there with another classic tribute, Super Crossover Bros. Great work.
Grew up on NES, love this. I've beaten it and looking for all the secrets now. I'll check out the Aboboy mini game a little later.
Nitpickings that don't really affect the rating but come down to personal preference:
Zelda level is a little too long. I'm not a fan of the Zelda franchise so maybe that's why.
The Megaman level lacks short jumps where if you just tap jump you do a small hop and not a full jump. Doesn't make much difference but that why I'm saying this nitpicking.
No platforming level? Really? I guess you could consider the Megaman level platforming but I always thought of Megaman as a hybrid of Platforming and Run 'N Gun. A Super Mario 3 level would've been nice. Or a Ducktails level.
I loved the cameos but where's the dude from Shatterhand? That game was bad ass and is severely underrated.
Nitpicking aside, absolutely amazing experience. It's pretty obvious why you can't charge for this because you guys would get sued into oblivion. Love the Secrets, controls are perfect, perfect sprites, amazing design. Just wish you had the guy from Shatterhand in there somewhere.
Uh, stuck at Dug Dig?
Game is cool, bug buggy. I defeated him, and am stuck in Zelda land. Why?
cool conccept though
That block is sparkling for a reason genius!
Try pushing it downward!
Sounds like there's a bug in your reasoning. Sorry you got a buggy brain.
