This is a project I did for my Advanced Web Animation class in 2006. I learned a lot about animation and Flash while working on this.

Come kick-ass animation here.
I really like the no-lines style you use for most of the background and some of the scenes, like the initial descent of the submarine, the shining water as the ship's in the dock and the whole 'waking up' scene are fantastic.
Was impressed at the way you use tweens to so effectively simulate 3D movement in that mountain road.
I felt some of the characters' lines were a bit too rough - specially the 2 ship workers, who looked really sloppy compared to most of the rest.
The pointy-haired villain was great though.
There are a few parts where a few more frames should perhaps have been drawn - most notably in some of the walking animations and the car-turning.
However, if the writing of the (presumably forthcoming) series is as great as the artwork, I know I'll be in for a treat.

It's a well rounded trailer, but with the absence of a fuller story, the small graphical glitches are more noticable. As a pure art showcase, it's 'merely' above average. When the story is added, then it'll truly rock the house.
Dude I agree totally agree with those critiques and hopefully they will all be addressed in the upcoming game, which by the way is coming along nicely. A demo should be ready relatively soon... I hope :P
Agree
