When the news piece has to be about video games, yeah! Not to mention a majority of the Flash gaming scene started here. It's a site for CREATING STUFF.

I know man they talked to me for a while and that question was one of the last ones, so I was forgetting to stand still and started getting fidgety... I also didn't realize the camera showed my whole body. You would think by now I would be good at being on camera but it's HARD... I look at celebs on TV and realize they just stand COMPLETELY STILL, like you gotta just be stone when the camera is on you. I'll keep working at it. I move around a lot because I'm exciteable.
Well TOm as a second year broadcast student I would have to say you sold yourself well in your interview. Nice work.
Go listen to my new song. :)

It's a bummer they didn't show the lifesize P-Bot.
Oh and for those three posts where I didn't link any Flash above:

"Making new games that play the way we remember the old games" - well put Tom! Did you think of that up as the interview went? Sounds like a really good slogan othervice!
Seems like there's something missing at Bob's booth though, can't put my finger on exactly what it is... might be a lack of animal spirit something something.... hmmm...

I've said the same sort of thing in conversations before, although it pretty much popped out on the fly. I like it too, it sums up the goals of CC and Alien Hominid well.
So exactly what was the point of this story? Just to show off a local business?

They wanted to do a story about local video game related businesses, leading up to the VGExpo in Philly this weekend.
Is there anything to raunchy for TV that was cut out of it? Like when the news anchor snorted coke off your bellybutton? I didnt see that make it into the clip. :(

I hear ya, just look at the expression of his face - the seconds before the screenie below, it's clear that he was so high, he thought he could fly. He was just lucky them sumo-sacks were in the spot where he landed.
Yes, that's how it happened.

Just out of curiosity, how did they find out about you guys? I mean, I know NG is a very large and all, but it's not something that average people would know about.

I know the guy who runs the VGExpo and NBC is a partner in the expo, so when they asked him about local video game companies he pointed them my way. The guy (Ed) who runs VGExpo also has a summer video game camp and a few summers ago I talked to a bunch of his classes.

I'd be more inclined to call it a beer machine......................with soda in it.
I probably won't put that on my CV if I'm ever applying for a job there.

Hey this is Tim from NBC10, the guy who did the news piece. I'm glad you all liked it, and believe me, I will tackle you all out of the way myself to work at newgrounds. I mean, c'mon a machine that dispenses free beer? That might be the greatest work atmosphere ever. Those guys bust their butts in their to make the company what it is but they have a GREAT time doing it. Cheers to newgrounds.com- one of my favorite success stories ever! (and yes, I'm now a member)
