I'm going to start off by putting most of my DeviantArt stuff here as well as stuff I made on Newgrounds that I never submitted to DeviantArt.

Then I'll just add to it as and when I pump out more shit.

To start with.........my latest.

I just started painting away in Corel and this is what I ended up with.

This was also done with Corel.

It was more of a test to see how the program worked.

That landscape is really nice.
I don't know about the others though, the first just feels more natural.

I keep meaning to do an updated version of this. It's a few years old and there's one or two things completely wrong with it..............I especially hate the wings.

I do still like the idea though.

And you've got all right to, your MSPaint pieces all have way better compostion and shading than you other work. Also, you seem to adopt a somehow different style in MSPaint.
I am a thorough suporter of style, in the sense that a lot of people can make mediocre/good anime or realistic work. If you're not as gifted as only few of us are, or if you don't want te spend hours of training before you can make something really stand out, the answer is to find you own niche so to say. Try to find that specific part wich you rock. From what I see from your work in this thread, I'd say the MSPaint works are closer to your 'niche'. This doesn't mean you should stick to exclusively using MSP, but try isolating those qualities from it and siphon them to your other (flash/corel/PS/pencil) works.

Yeah, I find that I tend to use different styles depending on what program/media I'm using.

With MSPaint I get a better sense of technical things like proportion, shading and perspective. There's just something about it that feels closest to using a pencil and paper to me for some reason.

With Flash I tend to go more cartoony.

When working on something important I usually try to get the structure down in MSPaint and then import that jpeg into something else (Flash, Corel, etc.) and work from there.

no it is a great program, I agree, but I just can't seem to do that with corel or photoshop. I have to actually get canvas and oils, and even then it only comes out about as half as good as that

Oh my god, this all looks amazing, I still don't understand how the hell you manage to make such great proportions in MS Paint, that has no layers, but it gives it an awesome sketchy look, the landscape is awesome, it almost look like a picture!

It's really well drawn and all, but what's the point? Nothing is happening, it's just a boring old landscape you see a million of in a folio.

It looks cool, but I think the reflection's alpha/opacity is too high. Tone it down, maybe make it look more wavy as if the water isn't totally calm in the midst of an intense fairy chase.
