I wore my "gay? fine by me" shirt to class yesterday and got a compliment on it and then the group I was in started talking about it and they were all supportive. :D
Most people are supportive. Personally, i believe that people are just unfamiliar with homosexuals, and have been told only bad. If you were once someone who didn't like gays, and you befriended one, you would learn to accept them because you would be closer to their shoes. It's the same thing with the mentally handicapped, most people that are involved in helping them normally (don't quote me on this) have a close relationship with someone in the same situation.
Anyway, I still get really depressed often because i know it's going to be really hard to find love around my town. What pisses me off more, is my straight friends that constantly complain they can't find a girlfriend. It's bullshit really, they can find some decent girl if they wanted to but choose not to, they just want the hot ones. They don't know what it's like being gay, not only do i have to be afraid of others, it's nearly impossible to find someone, ESPECIALLY in a high school. I don't know a single gay boy my age. I don't have ANY options.
Does anyone else wanna whine with me?
