I feel that love is love and one should not be judged for their sexual preference. Personaly I'm pansexual.

I'm okay with people finding homosexuality or transgenderism disgusting so long as they are tolerant of it.

And I don't think ultra liberals should shove it down people's throats that its wrong to be disgusted by homosexuality and transgenderism.

I think it would be nice if in the future though people could get used to not being disgusted by transgenderism and homosexuality.

Once I saw two gay guys kissing and some woman with her kids got all offended and she claimed she wasn't homophobic but that wasn't what pissed me off it was more to do with the fact she was being a bitch about it and she thought that everybody thought the same way she did.

People should stop thinking in the past and just because you have a natural repulsion to homosexuality doesn't mean everyone else should but it doesn't mean you need to force yourself to not dislike looking at it.

Personally, all of the hate towards gays around here (Tasmania) stems from the fact that the community is pretty much based around Christian old people. I see no reason to discriminate, other people's sexual preference has nothing to do with me.

I've always wondered why female homosexuals aren't called gay by the majority as well. I think the aversion is unequal mostly in the Americas, where two girls kissing is considered highly erotic. In Saudi Arabia (I believe) the hate is pretty equal, which is neither good nor bad thing.

In the past I have spoken to people who actually believed that gay is a term specifically for homosexual men and that lesbian is the proper term for homosexual women. These people used to correct me when I called women gay. I'm sure gay women pushed this word themselves as well as straight perverted men.

I had someone argue against me claiming gay was the word for gay males ONLY and that homosexual was the gay term for FEMALES. Needless to say I found this incredibly amusing since the word homosexual means male, yet he honestly tried to state it was a female term. Seriously, I wish I was 'just' gay -- so many people see it as normal and they don't even think twice about two guys holding hands or whatever. Sure there is a lot of noise about it being 'nasty' and 'ewww' but most people just get the fuck over it moments later.

However, the same is usually not the case for transgendered people (or the whole trans group), comments from Tramps and RacistBassist are, unfortunately, a fairly accurate representation of the general publics opinion.

When the homophobia was in full swing, women lacked rights. We've moved on from sexism, but not so much from the old homophobia.
