Well, my PS3 has occasionally emitted a loud static sound when I play a game for too long. I guess this what you get for playing your PS3 non-stop for how many months. Even though it doesn't happen as much, do you guys think I should replace it? You know, since it might become seriously damaged in the future if I keep playing it.

But that's if you play too long like I have, if you keep your playing time to a bare minimum, you shouldn't encounter this problem. As for me, I think I'll save up on another PS3 and trade my old one for an elite. Because you know, 360 has better games and all.

Sony won with the PS2 for a couple reasons, one being they aimed at EVERYONE, there was a selection of games ot choose no matter your age. While Microsoft only aimed at 'mature gamers' and Nintendo didn't offer any violence.

Blue ray winning HD-DVD 3:1:
That gives the PS3 a huge edge, that it's trade mark is winning the format war.

HDMI:
First consoel to support HDMI until the Elite copied. Thats a big cornerstone.

Slandered hard drive:
PS2 was jealous of the Xbox's hard drive, but no it's the other way round. No more worrying about save data, etc.

The Wii fad will fade:
it's like furbies, it two years, everyone will try one and it'll be done. Imagine it; your friends has a Wii party, you all go other and the next day you go and buy one yourself it was so fun. He was another party next week, half the people go. And again next week, your all 'sick'.

PS3 has a CPU advantage:
The graphics processor are roughly the same. But the CPU is far different, why, even Micorsoft are having trouble with halo 3 becuase the 360 is having trouble processing the graphics! Gmaes made off the ground for PS3 will look great.

PS2 still outselling 360:
I know it's outselling PS3 by a larger margin, but it gives Spny an edge to have some money.

Something for everyone:
On of Sony biggest advantages is that it has a strong franchise in every area, while Microsoft mainly focuses on more violent games and Nintendo on less violent.

I played my friends Wii, it's really fun. But I think after a few months it'll get boring.

You know currently there is only one scheduled online Wii game, and thats Pokemon arena which probably wont be that good anyways.

FEAR online is ok at best the levels arnt that great and its a bit glitchy the single player mode however is stunning i just can help notice though the decrease in graphics in online play

I have, I think its bad lag. They disconnected for a second, leaving their vehicle's to drift, and then come back.

I still haven't decided on a new name, but I deleted my old account. So if you were removed from my friends list, thats why.

It doesnt really work like that because even if you get further down when you crash, the time it takes to exelerate would already have pushed you back.

It doesn't really work like that, when u see ppl do it it's almost as if there hopping across the track, they crash again immediately, i don't know how they do it

It has a thing on the game rock band. It looks amazing. Like guitar hero times 10. Instead of just using a guitar, you can play with your friends or online in a full band including guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. I cant wait to have a bunch of my friends over and play that. Id definantly be playing guitar (since I sort of play it)

When that game comes out some of the regulars here should go online and play it together. To bad it doesnt come out until the holiday season.
