You can't use MC's in an animated .GIF. If you want stuff to move in your sig, you have to animate them in the main timeline.

I don't know anything about Fireworks, I've never used it. The process I'm talking about is in Flash.

yeah you can make sigs ith fire works but for animated ones you need to import the animation from flash and into fireworks.

Other people might. I made mine using Illustrator, Photoshop and the end result that you see is an animated .GIF straight out of Flash.

If you're talking about your BBS sig pic, all I'm seeing is the original you've had posted - the green with "Nico1uk" in the background and "What is your major malfunction numnuts?" typed over it.

Now I'm seeing it. In the Movie Properties when you open your .FLA file, are the dimensions set to 400x60?

Yeah, I'm still seeing the teeny tiny image. I'm out of fresh ideas. If you want, e-mail me the .FLA and I'll take a look at it. I'm at TheDocMonster@yahoo.com

Incredibly sorry for taking so long to get back to you. SO many people have been demanding of my time the last few hours. Okay, first, thanks again for the backgrounds! I haven't done anything with them yet, but if I can make them look any better, I'll send the fixed ones to you.

I checked your .FLA file. What I want you to do is open it up and click on your second frame. You'll see that every frame from that point on doesn't show up on the stage. They are placed at a considerable distance below it. All you have to do is click on "Align" and click on the buttons that will center the images on the stage.

Now, your sigs are only allowed to be a certain file size so what you'll want to do is remove all of the black backgrounds you have by breaking the images apart. Do "trace bitmap" and save each image as a graphic. Once all of that's done, get rid of all the bitmaps in your library. Open your movie properties and change the background color to black. This should considerably drop the file size. I won't be around for the next few hours, but I'll keep checking back. Hope this helps!
