Well, this place seems eventful as of late.
I'm not here for Smash talk, just to see how everyone is.. so, how are ya?

Not any different, really.
A few of us have gotten into in person tournaments.
I plan on getting to one, but with so much stuff to prioritize money with, I haven't gotten the chance.
I also plan on hosting smash tourneys, which feels like the way to go for me.
I have gotten into hacking brawl.
I play what is called "Brawl+" and I hack character textures, in speaking of which, the new THoD will be the Emblem Bros (Not a Mario texture hack).
Following that will be Blood Knight.

THAT IS AMAZING. But fails with other characters. Though this would be an interesting back up plan encase I go up against a R.O.B.

Underload is on Mountain Time.
Also, unintelligent people in the SSBC? Probably me.
To DMW, Skye, and anyone else who may have Brawl+:
I want this. Either reply to this, or send me a private message on Newgrounds so that we can talking without spamming this thread up. I have some problems, some installation questions, and questions about the game itself.
Thanks.
Go ahead and talk about it here.
It does concern Brawl--in a sense, so it should be fine.
Before you ask any questions however, I must say that if you have Wii menu 4.0, then forget about playing Brawl+ on your Wii, because as of now, it's impossible to install Homebrew on 4.0, and installing Homebrew is basically step 1.
How can I myself can design texture hacks?
Oh, and I almost forgot. I'm going to a tournament in Gilroy. Its a half an hour drive from where I live, and possibly 40 entries or more are going there! Of course I'll be representing NG's and SSBC. I'll try to get some replays and send it to everybody, or try getting it on youtube. All this happening in April 15th, and its in person.

Ask if any Wiis are going to be hacked. Nowadays when I go to legit tourneys, almost every Wii is hacked with the infinite time replays, name-tags in replays, the Pokemon Trainer hack that removes fatique and auto switching between KOs, and some even have the texture hacks.

It's a bit of a process that I long forgot.
Ask here, people will let you in on it.

Really? That's quite interesting, and only improves on some of the good features, and removes the more annoying aspects of certain ones. Do you know if they hack it to get rid of random tripping as well?

Do you have to ask?
I'm sure this was one of the first codes generated.

Well, I figured that it would be, but you never know.
eh, this is kinda why i dont post as often anymore. Most of the talk now is about "texture hacks" and codes, and all kinds of advanced stuff i dont care for. I just like to play it for the game, not for screwing with stuff. So I don't really have anything to talk about

We still talk about regular Brawl.
Only 2 people in this crew actually use hacks like that.

Is that just you and VCG? I thought Crink had it too... or am I just missing something?
Hi lotus, we're doing fine.
so I just got into my new house, wii is not connected to wifi yet but I think I have the proper materials to hack my wii.
Anyone wanna... lend me a hand here?

Your new house sucks extremly AzN. So much button lag during our matches. I cried.
To mah boi Karl: Vcg and Crink long lost interest in Brawl+. Me and DMW are the two I mentioned.
To Azn: Where do you live?
WARNING--
If you have Wii menu 4.0, then at this time, it's impossible to install homebrew.
Materials needed--
1 2gb SD card.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
An SD card compatible computer, OR an SD card reader.
Instructions (by memory, I may be wrong)--
Start a File in TP.
Move the file to the SD card.
Then go on your computer.
Google and download the necessary SD card items, try searching under "Twilight Hack items".
Put them in the root of your sd card.
Find gecko_brawl.
Create an "app" folder in your SD card and put gecko_brawl in there.
Go back on your Wii, move the proper TP file to your Wii.
Start up TP.
Talk to the guy standing there.
It should begin installation.
After this, make a "codes" folder on your SD card, then hop onto smashboards and download a file called RSBE01.gct.
You can find other ways to hack Brawl there too.
If you want to make your own codes, you'll need the code manager.
Don't follow this tutorial too loyally, there are better tutorials on the net.

Ah, OK. Thanks for clearing that up.
It sounds like an interesting concept, though I don't know whether I'd like it too much... maybe it's because I'm a real conservative, and also that I like lot of the mechanics on Vanilla Brawl more than melee, besides the annoying things like Fatigue and auto-switch in Pokemon Trainer, and also the random tripping.
I could care less about PKMN TRNR anyways...
It's possible to just use those codes, you don't have to get Brawl+ to enjoy improving your Brawl experience.

Yeah, that was what I figured I would do if I ever got around to hacking my Wii. I don't have Twilight Princess though, and also have no clue whether my Wii system menu has been updated if my sister has been playing it and updated... Last I checked it was still on 3.3 I think.
I've been really lazy with the THoDs, but I'll pick back up.
I'll need to take more screenshots once the new Brawl+ codeset comes out (with the included file replacement necessary for texture hacks), but for now.
The next THoD will be Black Yoshi and White Yoshi.

I would be glad to join. I've been looking for a Club like this one for a few days
