Also, knux, advising people to come back with at least 50 posts isn't really necessary. If someone is talking about smash, and speaking in clear english, they're already better than the average bbs user.
Oh, sorry. This has been kind of an untold rule in the Smash Crew for a while from what I remember. I see your point.

We previously did talk about a 1vs1 tournament to happen in the future. That will be totally separate, and I think AlexJS found a way to see who will verse who.
We will need more people to coordinate, not that I'm nominating myself.
And its way to early to pick team captions and stuff like that, I just wanted to know if you guys like the idea.
Agreed, too early. Once this has all been organized we can decide from there.
Call me too much of a Bleach fan, but I perfer "Squads" instead of "Teams".

Yeah, I have it all set up to pair up people randomly.
However, honesty becomes an issue. If it becomes a real problem, I've had an idea for some time now.
Maybe after the match pick, but before the actual fight, players will reply to the match-up as proof that they are ready to fight.
As for today's update, it was a bit better than most. We had no word on the Ice Climbers Final Smash, and it looks interesting, if not a bit over the top.
.
It was alright

That's why usually the Host of a online Tournament never competes himself. The job of the Host is to set up everything and keep track of wins and losses.
Well thats why we will have multiple hosts. The biggest problem about this is honesty, like Alex said. I say that it is unfair for the Host to not participate, maybe against other hosts.
I got question for you though, when we do have our tournament possibly next year, are we only going to have people in this crew only, or all of newgrounds?
Sorry to butt in on your question...
but I say that only in this crew. If we are grouping people in teams, then all of newgrounds will be too big and things may get out of hand. (My guess is) once everthing is in order, we will group everyone is a team, by alphebetical order, or Level or some sort of predetermined order (I just don't trust random), maybe the team leaders can nominate the people they want in their team (with certain rules applying). Once the teams have been set, we will all have one week to train, on the 3rd day we select what characters we will be playing as ahead of time (or not). At the end of the training session the hosts will pair up matches by random order. If someone new comes along in the crew, we put them in a team, give them some training time (if needed) then pair them up in a match. Friend codes will also be posted on the Alt account as well as tournament ranks of who goes on to the next round. After every match is 1 or 2 more days of training and a predesicion of your character (or not). Each team will have a Captian (host) and a Vice Captian (back-up host), the Vice Captian shall be hand picked by the Captian and so forth.
Thats just my guess. I believe that the predetermining of characters is safe seeing how the matches will be paired by random.

tournament? Count me in!!
Sure, and welcome back.
Ditto.
But like I said, region become an issue. If you live in China (I'm not mistaken, am I?), you'll be limited to fighting other users near you, or maybe Europe. Maybe getting a wired connection would solve the problem.
Not really, but the action will be slower if playing far away, but hey, others can watch on spectator mode and bet on us!
But it'd be a good idea to try the system out a bit before going to tournaments.
Agreed.
