because everyone is lazy as fuck
People got hung up watching all the porn again.
I'd suggest someone going in there with a whip, but that might make it more severe.

Maybe if they had handcuffs too so people had to stay still and focus that might help? Or... same problem, right?

Y'all aren't voting enough. ;)
If everybody who reads this goes and votes through all UJ submissions now they'll pass in no time!
Done my part.

I blame the Friday Night Fucking Jam for all the new submissions.
Games are less likley to get votes because they don't always load for some people, so they just click off the page.
Unfortunately it is an issue that is well known and honestly isn't an easy solution.
I guess Tom could offer incentives to vote more, but surely it'll go abused one way or another if offer anything as an reward (supporter status, maybe medal on profile would be good).
In any event, there is a thread in wi/ht for ones taking a long time which is so far being successful. Someone posted one that was still UJ for over 3 or 4 years !!!!!.

As long as you're not upvoting stuff that deserves to be blammed. Otherwise you're contributing to the problem of low-quality content on Newgrounds.

Yes, but games do get clogged up a bit more.

I try not to. I never vote high on anything I don't really like or want to win an award; I try to get the blam points I can on material I feel really merits it. For normal content mostly content neutral scores.
Those high fives are definitely bit of a problem too but I feel like maybe things are going back to the way they used to a bit, or getting more balanced at least. People maybe growing tired of subpar work getting through. Seems there's a solid margin of material that doesn't now.

Just think of all this new B/P we be getting though! :D

One that was unpublished 3-4 years back when it was still in judgement maybe, and re-published now? Seems like those anomalies pop up occasionally, had some examples in one of the news posts earlier regarding some UJ flood, can't be there's actually submissions left that long at the bottom can it...
As for incentives it seems like activity picks up with each double EXP boost, but after a while it seems to become the new norm too. Reward becomes normalcy. I think maybe more focus on rankings might be the long-term boost here. Charts that allow you compete for not just all-time totals but most B/P per week, month, year etc. More incentive for anyone to join and see the fruits of their effort right away that way. Probably seems impossible as it is.

I have to double check for signs that an animation would be blammed. Then, I can go ahead and give it some negative feedback, which will then result in it being blammed!

Ok, I have just played and rated 50-odd games to see if my level 7 game dev powers can help at all. Everything from some decent multi-directional shooters to cartoony jerk-off instructions, to ZabuJard's Lola Bunny games. If anyone's interested, the standouts were probably:
Monster Ambassador, and
Winning Love by Daylight might also be good too if the dev can fix the 'enter name' screen.

I just saw the headline of this thread & wondered the same thing. I've had a game under judgement for a few days now, and normally it would have passed by now (I think).
But then it's ironic that I'm wondering this but also don't review many games myself, so this is something I must change!!! I'll get reviewing some games right now!

Yeah, I wondered if they changed the number of ratings needed- but I think there are just far more games at the moment. I just rated 50, and didn't even get to yours. Maybe I'll do some more later.

Ah that's a while. I imagine animations might get through quicker than games, a bit bigger an initial audience for the most part, but wait you have two of those UJ too!
The Friday Night Funkin' wave may be a bit out of control...

Good call. :) To get them through judgement you don't have to review 'em either, just a vote's enough. Wouldn't really be possible to review all.

Definitely think there's just way more than usual right now. The number of votes required to get things through has actually been decreasing gradually for some time now.
