Thats not really the case there are many shows with actors to shows, and they have lots of success, like reeba she is an actress.singer and her show has high marks, infact i think it just hit its 100th episode...
Bernie macs show also hit 100 and he has done a a few movies himself aswell as his standup...
Boston legal which has Star treks capt kirk and that show is very good, there are many cases with success in shows because of them...

the WB channel here has removed the afternoon cartoons that had Pokemon, Transformers, batman, and a couple of others and replaced them with some re-runs of E.R. and other shows, which im not happy cause i did like seeing some of those cartoons...

Its happened over here too... It makes me sad... I <3 me some cartoons and now i can only see them Saturday morning (if i wake up early) or Sunday night (if you consider the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and King of the Hill cartoons)...
Ya ill have to watch FOX's lineup in the late afternoons king of the hill, Simpsons, and others, instead of the new lineup on WB, ohwell maybe they will bring the cartoons back oneday or something...

Hugh had the best speech, nice to see Paradise Now winning, and a lot of other political movies. Though, I think this is the first year in a long time I have not seen any of the nominees for best picture (in Drama, haven't checked the comedy/musical list).
