He pops in regularly to give us more artists to work on. That reminds me, I had an old spreadsheet that I had to keep a list of flash authors who needed icons. It hasn't been updated ever since citricsquid made his icon mod site but I'm sure there's still many on the list who need icons so I can provide some once you guys are done with the most recent artists Tom posted here.

So, how is everyone? I have noticed that a few icons that were uploaded by others for a Flash are not quite up to par with the way I feel it should be represented, but otherwise, I seldom check or replace an icon that someone else has put up for a submission. Is there any particular way that one must icon mod, or does everyone just tackle one artist or collection at a time?

I tend to go through all of the featured submissions in a collection and check to see if any are missing icons. If they are, I give them new icons and then check the author's page to see if there are any other Flash that need new icons. I have not given thought to also doing this for the "users who liked this also enjoyed..." under 'related submissions' because I felt it would take much longer to go through the collections. However, I feel it is also necessary to look at them so that nothing gets left out.

That pretty much sums it up - find a submission that's missing an icon, then make icons for all the stuff by that author. And it's a nice touch to update the "most recommended" submissions at the bottom of the page as well, as they are often popular / high ranking.

I see, I was just wondering if other icon mods did their own thing or were also using the same method as the one I am using. I'll be sure to look out for any Flash in the 'recommended' box to see if they're missing anything.
