More Tonight, Make sure your online guys! It's a Saturday night!

Congrats guys!
Sorry for the cheap post.. hehe... I would replied to a few posts but some others answered or said what I was going to say.. o.o. lol, or something.

So just letting you guys know that i'm reading the posts.. lol.

Also, Egyptians are... freaky in the topic of Gods...I don't know how they built a straight pyramid without an argument debating that the Sun God was Ra or that some God called John said to take the pyramid down. Lol. Confusing and interesting topic.

That painting was in my book, it stretched 2 pages ( so it was obviously bigger than the picture i posted ). I was reading it at night when i stumbled on the page, the picture was cool, but something caught my eye. Ares, a wave of fright swept through me for some unknown reason. i have no idea why! It looked so creepy. Decided too research it and nothing come up, so like i said when i posted the picture, it's just a theory of mine.

Lol, they had really weird mythological stories.

Like when Osiris (who got killed by Seth) was judging the trial of his sun Ra and Seth over the throne. He became pissed off at a certain point because they were bickering all the time. So he says "Screw this, I'll go pout in the dark, you suit yourselves." So after a few days of chaos, his daughter hathor simply has enough of the bullshit and walks over to her dad and flashes him her tits to cheer him up. That was a compelling argument to make him judge again. (seriously, I'm not making this up)

Also in the same trial, Seth argued he was better then Ra, because he managed to rape him. What he didn't know was that Ra gathered his semen and spread it over his breakfest (Seth's breakfast). So Ra could proof that there was no semen to be found in his own body, but everything was in Seths body.

Weird mythology...

Yeah, the Egyptians had some pretty weird characters in terms of worship. I'm learning about Ancient Egypt in my Social Studies class, and there was a Pharaoh who worshipped another sun god, Aton. He even changed his name to something that means "Servant of Aton." Anyway, back to Greek stuff.

I really don't think that's Hades. Looks like something out of a Yugioh anime.

How is that Hades. That is some anime stuff. And plus hades would have looked like a normal guy.

Buuut can anyone tell me who 'killed' Hercules and how/why?
(do not quote the story)

Note: he ascended to Olympus, but that wasn't completely voluntarily.

Hercules did kill his wife and three daughters when he was struck by madness from Hera. He wanted to kill himself to avenge their deaths, but Theseus persuaded him to live and try to redeem himself.
Hercules death is a little complex, but basically his wife (a later marriage) started it with a poisoned robe, and he finished it by burning himself on a pyre.

Hah, The next thing you're going to say is that Ra challenged another god to a game of table tennis (ping pong) to see who will be more mighty. :P.

Also, in terms of war, What do you guy's reckon is harder? Defending or Attacking on land, not sea or anything.

And also, who do you reckon would win in a fight?

Kronos or 100,000,00(million) soldiers fresh out of troy's army?

( Lol if Matt goes on Age of mythology and scene creates this. D: )

I saw this new program on BBC2 yesterday dinnertime, it was called Myths and was about introducing some Greek Myth to todays teenagers. Idea was to play out scenarios from the mythology using young trendy actors playing the roles. And dialogue like this:

Paris: "Zeus thoses girls r wicked fit! who u gon choose dude!"
Zeus: "yo Paris u a nerd boy? not got a girlfriend? u choose man i don't wanna I gon hit the party again, cya dude!"
Hera: "choose me paris ya n i'll give you 20 squids"
Aphrodite: "stay off it girlfriend! i'll gives u 50 yeah!"

Was god awful.
I don't know how many Brits are in this club but check it out for your dose your despair at the world.

Nope. He IS Hades... From Saint Seiya (Knights from Zodiac), a great anime serie that have a little bit of mytholigy

Kronos would squash every men army with his superpowers I think. Gods versus humen, when each depends on their own specialties and strengths will have the gods as a victor. This goes under the assumption that no strange artefacts get into the picture (like a ring that protects against unearthy powers or suits of armor that grant the wearer ultimate powers,...

I would lol at that show BTB

Oh yeah, anyone remember that story where Zeus transformed into a giant monkey and kidnepped that girl and then that hero Marius had to go after him and climb Olympus while dodging the stones Zeus rolled at him?

Yes!
Marius was the only mortal capable of jumping stones.
Then he rescued the girl and Zeus just felt into the water.

Join?
i did classical world studies this year and focused on the Greeks for most of my studies, and interested in the Philosophies, Cities, Tech, Warfare & Culture.

Pretty much greeks rule i mean look at Alexanders great folley into Proto Aisa (Persia) he totally kicked some arse there there was Gaugamela, Isus, Granacis some meanly faught battles against the persian forces, not to mention his outward acceptance that persia and Greece/Macedonia should be one with the Fusion policy, (everyone else hate the idea), the troublesome mutder of his father and plots to implicate him into it (depends on which source Plutach = bad source)

Yeh so i'd like to join this Group if thats ok?

Yeah Alexander was a brave soul, very interesting part of mythology, too bad he died. :c

There's a famous movie with Angelina Jolie (:3) based on it.

No Cronus is not the god of time. He isn't even a god he is a titan. Kinda similar to gods except bad. Cronus is Zeus and many other gods dad. He was the leader of the titans until Zeus and the other kids took power from the titans, in an epic immortal battle.

And then in the aftermath, the titan's balls got cut off.
