This short loop was originally written on 11 April, the 11th day of the spring run of 21 Days of VGM this year -- I remember ironing it out fairly early in the evening compared to most other days, as that day was Holy Saturday and Seán and I were going to watch the Easter Vigil Mass broadcast from Rome after I was done with this.

The prompt I chose to iron out was "Taco Cat", or alternatively, "Palindrome." The piano melody of this short loop consists entirely of palindromes, kind of like words that have the same spelling when you reverse them.

I had Stranger Things on the brain when writing this. We'd just finished rewatching Season 1 of it around that time, and my mind just went to the calmer moments of Stranger Things where synthwave was chosen as the background music. I still wanted some elements of this thing to tug at my own heartstrings even if it was a short loop that was meant to fulfil a prompt for a VGM challenge. So there we have it.

3rd Track For My kuzichMix Episode 1.

This is really nice. That lilting pentatonic riff floats so nicely, and and I love the bass notes that come in around around 0:25. I might try playing around with automating the high synth part above the piano a bit so the volume slowly ebbs and flows helping it to feel like it's almost breathing. If you add some reverb *after* the volume automation it will help smooth over the movement so that swelling becomes less obvious and feels more like the sound is just kind of undulating.
I'd also consider putting a limiter on your master bus, set the output level to -.6db, then push the gain just until you see the reduction kick in, then back it away a touch. This will help make the track louder without squashing the life out of it (the dynamics are good as is, but it's just a little on the quiet side for now).
Also, I didn't realize tacocat was a palindrome until just now, so that's pretty neat. Keep up the awesome work!

really good. its not the longest (song?) ever, but it is still rlly good. :p
