LoKSR: Reaver Schism ReMix

Author Comments

Hello, Newgrounds! I have returned!

...sort of. I've been on a long hiatus from mixing due to being in Tome (www.tomerocks.com, www.facebook.com/tomerocks, www.youtube.com/tomerocks) and I've hit a point where I can spare a little creative energy for a quick remix.

As I recall, chocosoda and I rushed the mixing phase of this piece in order to make time for "Clockstopper." The drums were too overpowering and many of the effects needed tweaking. Plus, I acquired Toontrack's EZDrummer software (fuck yeah DFH!) and decided it was time to give this one another whirl.

Many of the instruments are the same as before, but there are a few changes. The drum track was reworked in order to make use of the DFH's enormous cymbal selection (because FUCK YEAH WALL OF CYMBALS).

DUDE! IT'S BEEN FAR TOO FUCKING LONG!!!

I haven't heard new shit from you in AGES, dude! I was beginning to miss you like crazy!

*Ahem* Anyway, on to the review..

While I myself can't make music anymore, due to my computer being down, AGAIN, I'm always fluttering around Newgrounds in search of something to be inspired from. Once again, dude, I find myself being inspired by you, just like back in the beginning of my journey into music. I'm really digging this new mix. While I haven't listened to either theme, I can't help but feel the level of badassness in this mix, despite it not being all "GRUUHHHH YEEEAAHH BREAKING SHIT" heavy. In fact, THAT fact makes it that much better, I'd say. I can't really find anything to nitpick about this, it's just that awesome to me.

Welcome back, dude! It's been so fucking long!!
