Welcome back, Newgrounds! This track was created for Game-Set-Mash!! 2 hosted by OverClocked ReMix, a mashup competition pitting two teams to mash up tracks from two separate games. The theme for this compo is Castlevania x Metroid for the ultimate Metroidvania mashups! For week 1, "Beginning" from Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse got paired with "Brinstar (Red Soil Swampy Area)" from Super Metroid, "Lost Paintings" from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night mashed with "Phendrana Drifts" from Metroid Prime, and "Don't Wait Until Night/Heart of Fire" from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow fused with "Sector 4 (AQA)" from Metroid Fusion. As members of Team Castlevania (aka Team Whips aka Team Peitsche), Pixels helmed the Aria/Fusion mix this week, while I worked with OCR Discord member Moebius on this SotN/Prime piece. Each of us also contributed to a chaotic Doom (2016) inspired take on Drac's Curse/Super Metroid.
