I really liked it. its nice to see someone not use all these expensive programs like we all do, and just kinda let out actual played music. you kinda told everyone that you don't need all that expensive stuff to make good music in the portal. matter of fact, when i get a new set of strings (my guitar currently has 5 strings as well) I think I'll make a guitar piece.
Glad to be of inspiration :)
It is a shame to see music nowadays almost a battle of who has the "best gear" or "best program" rather then composition skill, but it still helps alot. That whole song was recorded through the freeware program "audacity" from a squier guitar. I suppose getting a job would help with equipment, meh.
Solid guitar work here. Could use a bit support from drums and maybe bass but it's a nice one. One thing I noticed was that the track "scratches" sometimes. Always watch the mix volume or did you record with a shitty amp?
Nice melodies tho. ^^
Thanks for the review, the "scratches" are probably a mix of both things that you mentioned, haha. I work with a smelly crate 15 watt amp for recording and it can get fairly noisy. I think the main problem was that the levels were clipping, as you mentioned. Thanks again!
this was great man. a few spots were you messed up, but i do that all th time so dont feel bad. i redid the song of mine you reviewed, check it out.
I'll definitley look at it, thank you!
It could use drums and a bass I think but it can stand well enough on it's own. There were a few parts where you screwed up but that happens to us all. Overall I liked your playing. With a few improvements this could be a really good song.
Thank you for the review, I'm thinking about re-recording this one, i just have to fix up my guitar, which currently only has five strings because one of the tuning pegs is ripped off =P
good riffs man. very cool very intense playing. very groovin great work peace syntrus out (0_0) hit me back
Thanks man! I'll check out your stuff right now.
