once upon a time, i had to change my guitar strings and before removing them, i thought i'd play with he tuning around a bit, coz i mean, if a string breaks, it's no big deal, i was gonna replace them anyway. so i tuned all of the strings to C and i was quite mesmerized with the richness of the tone my guitar was making. so i just played a C minor scale up and down and that's how the song got started

the chill section, apart from many synths, also features three layers of CCCCCC guitars, that come together in a rich three part harmony

the ending riff features the two of the most dissonant intervals in 12-TET, the minor 2nd and the tritone, as well as the most consonant one, the octave.
